View Full Version : Where can I find a gauge panel lense?

My dad thought he'd do me a favor and put a can of fix-a-flat in my car and it blew up inside because of the extreme vegas heat~! I know he meant well but after detailing the interior for over 2 hours with Q-tips trying to get every little piece of neon green dried up liquid, I noticed that a few components are ruined. The gauge panel lense (infront of the speed/rpm gauges) is ruined and also in the clock lense. The stuff decided to BAKE itself into it pretty good and it's permenately hazed.
Where can I pick this part up brand new? I know I can go junk yard hunting but I'd rather just pick up a brand new one and be done with it. That is, unless it's $200 or something rediculous. Can I buy just the lense? I've been looking online and did a search and it didn't show up anything uselful.

Not so Brian. The lens can be ordered separately.
Get with Ray (the Dealer) I am sure he can hook you up.

IIRC the Marauder uses the same cluster lens as the Vic, which woud mean any lens from a 92-05 Vic, or 95-05 Marquis would fit. It is a ~$12 part. I'll see if I can locate the part number from when I replaced mine.
FYI, I know Ford changed the part number a few times, but the lenses swap over as I have tested this on some of my extra clusters from various years.

The clear plactic lense is universal across many CV and GM applications, sorry I can't cite the years and models. It's held in place by four screws, and may be worth a trip to the bone yard. If not, I'm sure it can be ordered from the parts counter.

Thanks everyone.
And yeah, if you could remember that part # I'd appreciate it.
How do I get ahold of/PM Ray the Dealer? I'm still pretty new to the forum and don't know all of the features.

Yeah you can get the lens. It runs me about 18 bucks my cost. About 27 bucks list. The clock cost me about 47 bucks and about 60 bucks list. f2az 10887 a is the part # for the lens and 3w7z 15000 aa for the clock. If ya wanted me to sell them to you let me know. Reason being I work at a lincoln mercury dealer. If not shop around and see what ya can find. I hope that helps you out.

Shoppe keeps postponing the completion date :depress:
*In their defense, however, they're wanting to get it right; i.e. smoothing the waves in the fiberglass ( which is normal ).
Hopefully by this weekend | early NEXT week.
