I'm new

Hello, I've been watching viewing these forums for quite a while and I finally decided to join and go out and buy a Marauder. I did this just so I can talk to all of you wonderful people. OK, not really.... Well, maybe that had something to do with it ;) The real reason was because I fell in love with the Impala SS when it first came out. There was nothing like it.. But I was too young and poor to afford it then :mad: So many years later Mercury presented the Marauder prototype :P Once again, I was in love. More so this time.. The looks, the wheels, the tires.. Oh and those beautiful chrome exhaust tips. The only thing that would've made this any better would've been if Ford used a S/C 4.6 or the 5.4. One minor downfall... The 4.6 DOHC seems plenty adequate, it's just not overwhelming. But someday down the road, maybe I'll go with the Trilogy S/C. Then my baddass Merc will be the baddass it was supposed to be :coolman: Well, I just wanted to say hello to everyone else who has wonderful taste in cars and decided to pass up the Honda Accord for something truly American :)

Thanks for the welcome..... Seems to be a great bunch of people here. Like I said, I've been visiting the site for quite a while and reading the posts. I've been on other forums where everyone just bad mouths each other, but you all seem to be better than all that. Also, I have been reading quite a few of Dennis's posts and once I'm done moving, I'll probably starting sending some of my money his way. First thing will probably be 4.1 gears.

I'm about 20 mi north of SLC. So I'm not too far from "Fourth Horseman" . By the way, if you're reading this "Fourth Horseman", I noticed you have a Greg Kruegar LM plate on the front of your car. Did you buy you Marauder from the Greg Kruegar in Bountiful, or the one in SLC.

I bought a 300A... I wanted a Blue "B" but I really didn't want to wait until Sept. for the dealer to get it. Plus I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten quite as good of a deal if I had ordered one. I'm aware that I had to miss out on the Traction Control and Heated seats. But I guess I'll just have to make due.

So far I'm extremely happy with my new toy... Which reminds me, I need to leave my computer and go play with her :rock:
