Ok, I had alittle too much fun the other day with my 97 GM GS......I gotta get the tranny rebuilt but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that I should do to the tranny while its out. For example should I change any gear ratios or should I put in a trans shift improver???

I use the car on a daily basis and I do tend to hit the track (or highway) 2 or 3 times a month. So its not like Im trying to build it into a race car or anything, just and good looking. Any info or advice would be great.

Thanks

Chinny

98+ high-energy friction material

Ditch the roller clutch setup in favor of the 98+ Mechanical diode used on the intermediate clutch.

May want to look into a sprial lock while its out, opportune time for an upgraded torque convertor as well. The 11.25" 04 Marauder unit is very nice, keep in mind you will need a new flexplate.

Mercon V on the refill

An external transmission cooler afterwards as well.

You might add the forced tailshaft lube mod, too...
