We have tentatively set aside Wednesday August 16th for the 5th Annual Motor City Marauder Dyno Day at Alternative Auto. Lidio will be hosting Club memebers and our out of town guests at his shop. As usual we will have a number of Marauders and a few members Mustangs there for dyno pulls, minor mods (arranged in advance with Lidio!), SCT Chips and hand held tuners, to full blown dyno tunes. Please help out by indicating if you will be there and what you might be interested in.

We will probably visit Capers Steak house after the dyno day, so put this one on your calander!

I am there!

Dyno tune check up w/ Dr. Lidio please.

I am interested in a alternate tunes (bad gas and valet mostly).

More importantly though, a-better-fuel-pump!

As for the schedule, Bob and I will be on the road in the 2am hour on the 16th (thats the plan so far and is subject to change) and are planning for an 8 hr ride.

I'll call Lidio in the AM.

I'll try to be there, with my car, but just to watch. That option needs to be added to the poll.

Sorry John,

I am having whole new exhaust with headers, new fuel pump, smaller pulley, and a dyno tune done when I arrive at Lidio's shop. I placed my vote for "minor mechanical work" ;)

For anyone wanting mechanical work done, BE SURE TO CALL AND TALK TO LIDIO BEFOREHAND! He will have to schedule his guys around what you are having done, so dont cut him short, or you may not get what you want done! As I have seen in the past, he may dedicate the entire shops resources to the Marauders if the demand is high enough.

I called quite awhile ago to make sure Lidio would have the time and space for all of my work. As usual, he was the consumate professional and told me all would be taken care of. I can't wait. It was night and day between pre-Trilogy and after. I am sure I will be wowed again after all of his work!

Hey guys

Looking forward to hosting another dyno day for the the Marauder guys. Weather you strap it down and just make the two basic test pulls, get into some custom tuning or just hang out... I'm sure it'll be a good time.

The way we usually do it is if all you want to do is strap it down and make the basic two pulls with no tuning, its $50.00.

Depending on how many guys show and choose to dyno, we'll have to see if we can get into custom tuning as well for a couple if needed like we did last year. That will incur more time and of course cost. If you already have a SCT chip or Xcal and we do get into a custom tune, the cost will be lower. If you get dyno'd and need a new chip or Xcal to go with the tune, it will start at about $500.00 for the tune with the chip included in that. Xcal's are about $150.00 more for that.

Thanks and looking forward to it. We will be starting at about 8:30 am.

Hey guy's... I'm just thinking here,
I really want Lidio to tune me up!
It's about 10 hours out and 10 back for me ( 550 miles each way)
I can do this, but would there be a place for me to crash Wednsday night to head back home Thursday morning? NO way I can go that long without sleeping.
I'm old.....

Rich, Charlie and I are leaving from my house in Lutherville around 0000 hours Wednesday. We are taking I-70 most of the way and then heading NW through western PA, OH and then on into MI. We could either meet at my house or somewhere along the way. Let me know. Talk to you soon.

Quick Question, why the fuel pump upgrade? is it needed for a basic stock Maurauder with minimum modifications? When should you consider upgrading?

Just for the dyno day, it looks like.

I have to be home on Thursday and I really want Lido to tune my car. (Hope he got me PM or email)
So, I'll be hooking uo with Charlie and Bob EARLY Wednsday morning along the PA turnpike, showing up at Lido's with them, then heading home early Thursday morning.... I just need to figure out a place to crash in between!

So, I guess the answer to your question is.... sortof?:D

Hmmmmm 14 mpg x 15 gallons means we will be stopping every 210 miles...
Actually, I got almost 22mpg hwy on the turnpike last week. 68mph on cruise.

Rich,

you should be able to manage 18-19mpg at near triple digits..... you might want to get Bob a 'little johnny' for the trip!!!

Hey Bob,

bring us some of that tasty beer you keep telling us about. And some crab cakes too...it'll be a Smokey and the Bandit in reverse. Defyant should run blocker for y'all.

Mark, it looks like I may have to take a few hours off of work Tuesday to gather up all of the yummy stuff you mention. The company that makes the crab cakes you see on QVC is about 300 yards from my plant. Crab cakes taken care of, you just have to figure out a way to broil them. As for the beer, I think I can transport about 4 or 5 growlers in my cooler. Or I could go to Dick's sporting goods and pick up one of those 500 qt. coolers and throw in a keg....

Better yet for the first time in 20 years or so there is virtually no road construction between here and Tampa, one of the nicest drives I've had last week on the trip in years. If you are quick enough the family might not notice you are gone!:D

You wouldn't be the first one to take a nap in Lidio's parking lot. Last June, I came straight from work, arrived 5 a.m., reclined the front seat, brought a pillow and grabbed a nap. I left word with Lidio's crew to just come out and wake me when they're ready for the car. Then took my pillow into the waiting room to finish that nap, but was too excited to sleep after that.:D

I don't need it any longer since a new one came with the Trilogy kit...

Just something to consider.....please.:depress:
