I've been around a while here...and have been fortunate enough to be behind the wheel or every type of Marauder with a power-adder. My first drive in a Trilogy Marauder was in Trilogy #1 back at Ennis (what? 3-4 years ago?)...and I'd also driven Bob Mathis' (I think he was one of the 1st few installed).

Today...My friend George ( White Knuckles (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/member.php?u=371) ) came by the shop...said "The keys are in, Todd" and I must say...this set-up is "head-and-shoulders" above anything else available. The refinements I could see that have taken place over all this time to the package...as well as...what I feel is a precise and unparalleled tuning package from Lidio...in my book can not be matched.

Just wanted to let you know...

And thanks again to my friend George for getting me out of the shop for some fun this morning!

This is what I've been saying for years.

There is one kit available that is simply head and shoulders above the "others". Todd, thanks for your input. Knowing that you don't own one, and have seen everything out there, makes your opinion even more credible.

So, you've been around long enough to know that starting a S/C thread is a good idea?

Not disputing your claims, just noting that these threads have a record of like 0-100 for going well.

Not tryin' to start trouble....

It was well-meant...thought folks at Trilogy would appreciate it and wanted them to know my observations. I'd dare say that there have been well over 150...maybe 200 folks (maybe even more) who've driven my car over the years. Those that know me, know I give up my keys readily with no "warnings", "reservations"...etc.

And...I've had the opportunity to drive virtually (actually literally) every type of Marauder that's been on any road ('cept Effster's twin-screw).

But I feel I drove the ultimate, "all-around" set-up this a.m. Not just for the dragstrip ('cause I'm not so much into that for a Marauder)...just "all-around" performance sedan....*and you might have guessed by my "On the rack" posts...I've driven just about every late model "performance" car out there.

Today was special.

That's all...no harm/foul intended.

Todd I agree with your "point of view" as best all around. I do far more open highway driving than drag racing. The T-Kit allows the car to maintain impecable manners under all conditions.

This is my opinion and it's not intended to put down anyone elses choice. Both Todd and myself are refined gentleman....that why we like the T-Kit.....

Thank you for you honest objectivity, Todd.
As an Trilogy fan, I have to say, "I love my tire shreader!"

Toddster, was this one of the Trilogy installs done by Scott and Jason?

As I was telling Todd this morning, Work schedule and other events have kept me from getting #131 out much since her install last month and she needed some exercise:burnout:
Todd, as all who know him, has always been the first to throw another the keys to his Marauder-------or "Big Yellar". It was my distinct honor and pleasure to return the courtesy------besides------It's great fun driving it myself------but to see and hear that Trilogy whine and that Kooks exhaust from the sidelines is priceless. PLUS :D s all around!
Todd may have noticed when I left ------ I kind of tip-toed out of Grand Muffler's parking lot. After Todd's and Bryan's (The Picasso of Exhaust) run up and down the boulevard they peaked the interest of local PD, so I eased out with intention of blaming it on that other MM sitting in Grand Muffler's Lot.:banana2:
I must say that I've always loved this Marauder. I typically turn cars every two years-- but I couldn't part with this one. I bought one of the first Chrysler 300C when they came out and probably the only AWD version in the South(had to go to PA for it), because after the MM I am hooked on power.
The 300C AWD has respectable speed and power, but after adding the Trilogy to the MM I'm on a second honeymoon. I did the underdrives, I did the tune, but when I installed the Trilogy I awoke the beast within. This is where I had hoped Ford would have gone with the MM in it's next version----that didn't happen:nono: .
As I've said in previous posts----this Marauder is a keeper-----in large part to the info gleened from this site and it's supportive vendors---and from the great friendships that are this Marauder community.

Yes, Scott and Jason (TEAM FORD--Marietta, GA) did a great install.

Congrats to your new install and having My friend Todd (TAF) be giving a chance at the wheel....But I must say --I feel so forlorn....why--cause at the beginning.....in Nov'02--It was TAF and me and his couple of friends he gathered along the way with Mac and a guy named Martyo---(why the "o"--many wanted to know--but they had to wait to find out)-after all-we were young then---anyway--I wish all could understand how much I appreciate what TAF (Todd) has meant to me---Yes-I am older --but he has been so close and yet like a younger brother to me --in so many ways---as I am sure he has come accross to many of you out there as well--which means --he is a very special guy--I only hope he cuts out the best parts of this and prints it for his wife--she truly should see what a wonderful and nice friend he is and is willing to do----which is why he does so much for the ladies in his home-
---I only wish and I have told him so--that he was my younger brother--

So......What is this all about------- I miss my best FIRST FRIEND and my best second as well----MARTYO---I have so many memories they both have provided --just because of a car got us together--

SO see- I can too see your enjoyment of giving back a ride for TAF to handle-----so much in fact --I want him to have a go in mind---since its reconstruction--He --after all--who got me started in this whole thing--deserves the first time at it besides me---my problem is how to get him near me----seems Anderson .S.C is the best bet---

Sorry --for seeming to Hi-jack this thread--got carried away --but I wish I was closer to these guys you mentioned--alot more than you can think----

Glad your MM is so right --just for you-Tom

The first supercharged Marauder I ever drove? Your car. And you and Marty were passengers.

It is like a night and dat difference in power with the Trilogy added on. Now you have the same feeling that all the rest of the "Kool-Aid" family have had. Congrats on your install and now go "drive it like you stole it".

The Trilogy install is very impressive in the MM. But, the 3.2 pulley really pushes it into a super muscle car class. There is a noticable difference between the stock 3.4 pulley and the Lidio 3.2 particularly at the top end. The stock boost was 8.5 and it is now 10.5+ (includes a K&N which does help) and I have lifted every time I have tried to see what it would go to. I flat run out of road. The MM continues to pull and pull at top end with no let up. (Be sure you get Lidio's revised tune for this setup.)

I also would like to thank Todd for all of his help from when I first meet him on the net and then at the Breakfasts. He has been a great help to me in building my MM.

Looking forward to the SSHS6 in November. We hopefully will have three 10 second MMs and perhaps even a 10 second Mark VII at the track. I believe the Impalas will really be surprised and shocked at our performance.

Congrats to your new install and having My friend Todd (TAF) be giving a chance at the wheel....But I must say --I feel so forlorn....why--cause at the beginning.....in Nov'02--It was TAF and me and his couple of friends he gathered along the way with Mac and a guy named Martyo---(why the "o"--many wanted to know--but they had to wait to find out)-after all-we were young then

I too started with this MM craziness in Nov'02. As you can see from my post count, I do alot more reading than posting-----but if there was a count on visits to this board--I'm sure I'd be near the top of the heap.

Another good friend of mine-----known on this board as "Slowpoke" ----knew I went through cars like some people change shorts--- and suggested I check out the Marauder which he had just purchased. I must also say Rick (Slowpoke) is a shrewd negotiator and I took his deal to my local L-M Dealer------and after some red-faced, chest-pounding, wheelin' and dealin'; I joined the Marauder family.

But I really joined the Marauder Family when Rick told me about this site and this guy down in FL named Reinhart. Do you remember Dennis's early site that had a geeky looking fellow in a lab coat-----I thought that was Dennis----Imagine my surprise when I first met him at a dyno event.

I have been a semi-regular (as travel permits) at the monthly breakfasts at Cracker Barrel (I have the waistline to prove it). Todd (TAF) has always been the leader of the pack and I credit him with bringing together a fine group of MM enthusiasts and friends.

For the first two years the Marauder was a work vehicle and the sensitivities of clients had to be considered(no Kooks then). I remember talking with Todd (Todd was the king of bread before he found his true calling)about the things we wanted to do, but business dictated otherwise. Todd was always showcasing some new innovation, for the MM-------Addco, Metco, Car Motorsports, QA1---and each time throwing the keys and saying try this out.

Needless to say I've been hooked and since the Marauder was retired from work duty in Feb '05 and 87,000 miles, it's been a work in progress.

The first Trilogy set-up I saw was at a Cracker Barrel Breakfast and belonged to Bob Mathis. I liked it --filed that info away-----researched alot and decided it was the best set-up for me. Day-to-Day drivebility! I'm not into drag racing----just more of the sleeper factor and stoplight to stoplight.
I am, however, interested in trying out a road course.

I look forward to the continued friendships this site has brought together and grins enjoyed with my newly awakened "Trilogy" Marauder.

I just want to add somethings guy's. Yes, my car and Dave's are one of the first to be done by Lidio and Trilogy. It still has the first turn and I have not done anything to it.It still run's great. The power is still the way it was from the begining. But when I get done from working over here I will be doing alot more to it. Jerry and Lidio did a great job. My car did 12.87 on old Nito's. So that should say something. I want to go 11's one day. High 11's well be fine.
Todd do you have your shop now? PM me.

Bob's Trilogy was the first I ever saw and that's when I knew it was what I wanted it...so much power Bob was was having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to launch the beast...great memories I have of SSHS3 in Commerce back 3 years ago.

I have yet to find enough safe open road to have an idea what my T-Kit can do, as Glenn said "it eats up the road". As far as the 1/4 mile, I drive it to the track, line it up and go.

To say that 12.7's is the fastest my car can go would be inaccurate...12.7's are the end of my skills, my limitations and my refusal to change my wheels and tires.

I heard others say that the smaller pulley (3.2) improves how it pulls at the top and I have to admit that intrigues me, as far as the low end...I have more than I can handle.

Smokie:

Take it from me - go for the 3.2. This is the pulley Trilogy should have offered with the kit, but due to I am sure warranty considerations they used the 3.4 pulley. The Trilogy is designed to be used with the 3.2. Go for it!! The pull with a K&N and 4:10s is unreal.

I am seriously thinking about it, if Lidio decides to come down for MV IV maybe I'l buy me the pulley and have Lidio adjust the base tune, I understand he don't recommend using the base tune if you have a CAI & exhaust.

Do you have the 3.2 pulley already?

Installed with Lidio's tune for CAI and 3.2. Do not have enough road to not lift. Looking for 12.6s.

I have remained with the standard 3.4" pulley that the Trilogy kit came with for over two years on my Marauder, and I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about it. I haven't noticed any loss of reliability, good manners, nor streetability with this car since I installed the Trilogy kit on it back in April of 2004. And it's the fastest daily driver on the street, and can also beat any stock or lightly modified Camaro and pre 2006 Vette on the road (trust me on this. I know. :D ).

Some people balk at the price tag for this modification, but there's nothing else that even comes close to comparing with it for the money. I wish I had a camera to get a picture of the look on the faces of the other motorsits when they've seen how my car moves with the Trilogy kit on it. They think it's a slow old man's car until I hit the gas. It ruins their day once they realize that their precious Camaro, beloved Vette, pricey BMW, or snobbish Porsche just cannot keep up.

And BTW, I see absolutley nothing wrong with Todd starting a thread like this, since it's in the TRILOGY forum.

Well good...that gives me longer to save up. Donny & I would like Trilogy Superchargers for both our vehicles (my Marauder and his '06 F150 HD)...between us...we've saved $37.43...."indefinetly" or indefinitely:P it just might have to be.
