So, talking with a friend over the phone roughly three hours ago, I was asked for additional feedback on the control arms installed two weeks ago.

Not having driven the car in a weeks time, was not a satisfactory answer to the person on the other end of the line.

He called me a "wussy." Well, it rhymed with wussy anyway.

As I will not drive my MM dirty, nor did I feel like washing it with a heat index of 102 degrees F., the conversation ended on that note.

With an empty house, and half falling asleep on the couch, I thought just maybe a quick wash, and will drive it tomorrow.

Yeah right.

Fifteen minutes in the heat, sweat was pouring off of me and haven't even filled the wash bucket yet! :alone:

I quickly filled the bucket and got busy on washing her up.

OMFG!, Sweat running into my eyes, burning like hell, and what do I do? Wipe my eyes with barehands loaded with soap.
:stupid:

Running around the car in agony, and half blind, I finally find a clean microfiber towell, and clear my eyes.

I jumped in the pool for a few minutes to cool off and wash my eyes out, then headed back to dry off the car.

Then the door jambs.
Then the windows.
Then under the hood.
Then under the deck.
Then the wheels.
Then the pipes.
Then the tires.
Then the dash, doorpanels.
Then the wet/dry vac.
Finally finishing wth detail spray on all exterior panels of the car.

Dying of thirst and needing water, I quickly grabbed the garden hose for a drink. Bad idea.

Not having done this in quite sometime, I about blew my damn head off as too much water pressure was on the line, and was in too much of a hurry.
:stupid:

The water did cool me off, and damn does the MM look good.

Thanks Mac!

Mike.

Sounds like old age setting in early:laugh:

Only 102 today?

Cool temps in your town!

Next time just park the car close to the pool and get a long brush:up:

1) Drive To Cactus Car Wash in Buckhead.

2) Tell the attendant you want a hand wash and wax, ask if Alonzo is on duty, if not ask for James. Ask for basic detailing.

3) Go inside and pay.

4) Order a gourmet coffee.

5) Find one of the overstuffed chairs or couch near the 50" Plasma High Definition TV in the waiting area, watch Discovery HD.

6) Alternate: Go to the computer lounge and surf the net one of their high speed computer stations.

7) Alternate: Stoll over to the detailing area, watch them detailing high end sedans and sports cars through the picture window observation area.

7) When the detail manager comes and tells you the car is done, go outside for once over, then tip Alonza or James.

Voila. No sweating, swearing, or stinging eyes. About $70, including tip and coffee.

I washed the car today as well. I washed and dried the car outside and like you I roasted. Everything else wheels, wax, inteior etc. was done in my Dad's shop at school with a/c. And like you said my Marauder was looking good when it came time to pull her out.
