It's a plastic panel that runs underneath the car from the back of the trunk pan to the rear bumper and fills in that empty space. This is done to prevent air from damming up in the rear bumper. Some folks have reported a small but measurable MPG increase after doing the mod. If you do a search for "pro guard" in the photos section you'll find a few pictures of them installed.

yooooooooooooooooooooooo got mine and installed it yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!! i went to one of my friends shop and put it up on the lift then went to the bathroom. when i came back he had sprayed some wd40 arounfd one of the bolts and said "hey you have a gas leak " and i was like got danget!!!!!!! and walked away . needless to say everyone had a big laugh on me. it took longer for me to put it on the lift then to install the proguard. I love it and Mr. Reinhart delivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

it should fit between the exhaust although mine touched on one side and i cut it back sandwhiched between two pcs of wood with a sawzall in the vise and cleaned it up on the bench grinder.came out good.... i believe a lot of people had to do some trimming....

I think I was expecting some kind of a circular cut of some sort. After looking at some pics of previously installed units, it seems fine. I was probably just over reacting, that's all.

Steven, Mine has large round cutouts for the exhaust and one in the middle for 3.5 inch rocket launcher. Yours must be a factory second. send it back, now. Dennis:rolleyes:

These were fitted on a Marauder and should not req any trimming

Before anybody gets too excited from reading the last post, there is not
at this time a group buy on progard skid plates. This was just an error
that occurred by reading and older post.

The progards that we now have in stock are 50.00 each plus shipping.
The rising costs for shipping will not allow us to offer free shipping on
these, as they are "oversized".
