12 miles due north of Towson. Take Dulaney Valley Road N ( exit 27 B ) off the beltway, and stay straight until you get to the Loch Raven bridge. Bare left after the bridge and continue 3 miles until you get to a 4 way stop. Turn right on Sweet Air Road and proceed 1/2 mile to Fire Company on your left. With your signature, this should be a no brainer.

My friends, I ask very little of you.

I ask if you can find the time, please make every effort to make this show. Mary Ann wasn't just a Mustang enthusiest in "a club", she was a warm, kind woman whom I knew personally.

My only regret when it comes to The Mustang Club of Maryland was that I did not join back in 2000 when I bought my 97 Mustang GT.

Anyway, as stated in post#1, ALL proceeds go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

So come out, show off what you got, and donate to a worthy cause!

Thanks,
Charlie

Charlie,
Don't know what color font you used on that one; but the print shows up as white on white for me. :dunno: Never mind. You must have just changed it to blue.

Yes, I will try to make it but I might be driving a import. Mason Dixion is having it's All Ford Event that weekend. Cleaning up from a day of drag racing takes time.

Come dirty! A hot car with shredded rubber looks as good (or better) as a car all waxed up ;)

I'm coaching travel soccer this fall, something I said I would give up. It's just that no one can coach like I do.:P With that said, my son's team has a tournament Friday night, all day Saturday and into Sunday. I will not be able to make the meet. I did not know about the games when I put in my "yes" vote. I hope to show off the re-born beast at the next one.

If all works out, we'll have 3 coming up from Virginia (Bluerauder, merc, Breadfan??). You'll be coming in from the west on I-695 (Balto Beltway). We will be coming through the tunnel and around I-695 from the east. Possible meet up right at the Dulaney Valley Road (Route 146 north) exit.

There is a large church with a spire just north and east of the exit (about 1/4 mile max). Can arrange to meet in the church parking lot between 8:30 AM and 8:45 AM. I'll be on cell and FRS 5. :D

Might see Joe Walsh enroute -- if we come up Route 3 through Crofton. :dunno:

Dulany Valley Rd., Who? What exit off the beltway? My directions say take I-83 North (Exit 24). And to get off at Shawan Rd.

Dulaney Valley Road is Exit 27B off the Baltimore Beltway. It's about 2 miles past the I-83 turnoff to go north.

Your trip will take you Shawan Road (Rt 145) to Paper Mill to Sweet Air Road. Six of one and half-dozen of the other. I prefer Dulaney Valley Road up past Loch Raven reservoir -- more scenic I think. Let me know if you'll be at the church lot or using your own "google route".

Haggis,

You could do I-83N to Shawan if you are going directly to the car show, no problem.

If you are going to the pre-show hookup at the church, you'd stay on I-695 just past I-83 to RT.146 (Dulaney Valley Rd.)

Click this MAP (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=1200+Dulaney+Valley+Rd,+ Towson,+MD+21204&daddr=3500+Sweet+Air+Rd,+21131&ie=UTF8&ll=39.466945,-76.577797&spn=0.193745,0.31929&om=1)for an illustration of where I-695 meets Dulaney Valley and then to the show.

Zoom out a little and follow Sweet Air to the west (it becomes Paper Mill) and you'll see it end at York Rd just south of where Shawan Road meets York.

You really have to get an update for your Nav System or replace the "lady in the glove compartment". Sykesville is out Liberty Road on the west side of Baltimore past Liberty Reservoir. Different lakes ..... no where near Dulaney Valley.

But you are right .... it's a very nice drive.

Its on Hampton Drive. Take the exit and cross over I-695. Hampton is just over the overpass. Church is on the right. You can't miss the spire. ;)

Usually the club reschedules the show for the following weekend. I do not know right now what the plan is. As far as the weather is concerned, we can go back and forth with weather reports all day. Bottom line is, we'll have to wait until Saturday to see.

If history is any indication of what the weather will be, warm and dry would be my guess. Gee, I could be a weather man.

Do we have an official head count for CAM attendees?

There is a Sunoco on Loch Raven Blvd. (@ 2 miles inside the Beltway) that sells GT100 fuel...

Charlie, Which way are you coming up from Virginia?

I thought that I-95 would be quicker....

I was going to go up I-95 and around the west side of I-695 and get off at the Dulaney Valley exit.

I might be persuaded to join you guys somewhere on I-97 for a LOUD trip through the tunnel...:D heh heh heh.

Charlie, Which way are you coming up from Virginia?

My usual trip to the former homeland is around I-95/495 to Route 50 east. Then take the Route 3 north exit straight to I-97. Then through the I-895 tunnel (the Old Harbor Tunnel). Pick up I-695 west toward Towson toward Dulaney Valley Road.

If the traffic gods are with us tomorrow, we should cross Route 100/I-97 between 8:00 - 8:15 AM. I'll be listening in on FRS 5.

I prefer that trip over I-95 and the west side of the Beltway. ;)

Again I too had a good time.

I did learn something today, I learned that if you take your american flag/eagle fake show license plate out of your trunk, slide it in front of your front license plate "just to look cool" it will stay there during the show without having to remove your state plate.

I also learned that if you forget to take said fake license plate off of your car you can drive 80 miles at 65+mph and much to your humble surprise your fake license plate will still be there and did not blow off the car on the DC Beltway.

Glad the VA LEO's didn't notice me! And only 2 hours after I was talking to merc about how strict VA is about front license plates look what I do! Yep, drove all the way home with this on my car, not screwed in either! Doh!

Mike,
You are not the only one who did a "post show" gaff. When I unloaded my trunk for the showing, I put a 50' garden hose under my car. That hose has been coiled up in the trunk still banded since MV III/WDC in Detroit last August. Anyway, it is probably still laying out in the middle of that field. Oops, I forgot too !!

I know some of you heard the wife say I can have a supercharger. I'll need those notarized affidavits no later than Wednesday!
You want us to mail 'em or just fax it. I heard it loud and clear. Let her get the Cutlass, too !!

Top 25 trophy....COOL!

I guess this 'leaving early' thing works!

I should have hung around a little longer to see all the CAMmers receive their show trophies.
Thanks go out to Chris for accepting in my absence.
BTW, How about my 50/50 money???:D :D :D

It was a fun show with lots of neat cars. I appreciate Charlie (DEFYANT) setting this whole thing up.:2thumbs:

I had a good time with everyone. It was great to meet Nate (baltimoremm), and Dave (AgentM79) and his family.

Charlie (Bluerauder), You look guilty as heck with covering up your "soda" can!.

Man looks like you guys had fun. My car wouldn't be in show worthy condition if I was able to make it.

The refreshment actually came from Joe's. Guilty as charged ... I was worried about some of those "squirrely" new Maryland rules. Wasn't sure whether Harford and Cecil county were now dry areas.

It was a great time. Thanks Charlie for coralling us yesterday. On a bummer of a side note. My buddy Phil who brought his 65 Cobra, Blurauder you enclosed some pics of it, it broke down on 70W on the way home. His shear-pin sheared in his distributor doing 75mph and it just shut down. We waited an hour for a flat bed to come and get it home. A $3.00 pin ruined the nice ride back. All in all a great day. Charlie, which way did those tranny lines go again??LOL :) Just kiddin' I think I got it. Thanks again..
