Since Marauders are very high on lists of stolen cars, I try to keep an eye out for suspicious activity. I see a Marauder parked in the San Diego area with no license plates or tags of any kind. It has very dark black tint on the windows. Anyone missing one ?

Aren't cars that are just sold in CA that are not from there without tags for a while?

Just checked my driveway - mine is still there.

Might be without a tag, but I would say that it should have a license plate.
Either front or back. If not than a paper registration in lower right hand corner. You can always run the Vin #

Usually if they do not have plates, they have paperwork stuck to the inside of the windsheild, or a red and white month tag stuck to the back window. this has neither. I am not at the point where I am going to actually go read the VIN, but if someone knows of a stolen one I would.

If it looks that suspicious to you, call the cops? If it is stolen, I'm sure the owner wants it back ASAP.

I wonder if it might be a "hot" car..perhaps used by the local Police Department to lure would-be carjackers.... ?

I'll take first dibs, send it to my house. The FruitPunch is lonely. Dennis

If a car comes to CA from a state that retains it's license plates it will then have no plates or registration.
The new owner has 20 days to register it in CA so until they get to the DMV it will also not have a temp tag in the back window.
I purchased my MM from outside of CA and it had no plates, no registration card and no title when delivered. It took just over three weeks before I received the title in the mail before I could go to the DMV and register the car.
So there were three weeks here in SoCal where my MM had no plates or temp tag in the window. Kind of scary when you think that for those three weeks I was a big neon "probable cause" to be pulled over by the police and had no way to prove that the car was mine.

Good, sound advice.

The temp. tag on the rear windshield may not be visable due to window tint.
