MustangTuning.com Wheels for 305 DRs<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->The 2005+ Mustang Bullitt Deep Dish 18x10 wheels from MustangTuning.com are a good fit on my MM with the 305 Nitto DRs. Special thanks to Chris for his work with me to find these wheels and sell me some blemishes at a great price. I am very pleased with the results. I now have a great looking set of 18x10 wheels for a price of one used MM wheel. I have been looking for wheels of this type for over a year.

The shock clearance (see 4th photo) is about an inch and the tire sticks out about 1 1/2 at the rear of the wheel well (see 2nd photos). After using the Nitto 295s for 6 months the 305s on the new wheel and mounted on the car look very good. The 295s really fill the wheel well right up to the edge so the 305s do not extend out that much more. I also attached a photo (3rd) of the wheel well without the tire to show how the 295 apparently rubs the shock during hard turns.

Finally, I have a good looking, very inexpensive 18" wheel in a solid 10" width that is the perfect width for the 305 DRs. Now, looking for 12.6s on the front page of the Timeslips.

Thanks for everyone's help in this search. I think we have a real winner here.

Glenn

can you show a pic of the whole car? I'd like to see what it looks like as a whole. Thanks.

Bravo!

"By George, I think you've got it!"

I'm always impressed by the owners who are willing to take risks on our behalf, and this, my friends, was a risk.

Thank you, Glenn.

Hey Glenn,
Looking good. :)

To everybody else,

You would not want to use these as everyday rims as they will stick out of the wheel well a little bit, but they will work well for track.

Wheel Style: Bullitt
Wheel Size: 18x10"
Wheel Backspacing: 7.27"
Wheel Offset: +45mm
Wheel Weight: 26 lbs.
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 4.5 inch

Stupid question... why does it always seem to display the thumbs down icon when people have obivously chosen the thumbs up icon?

They've been trying to figure that out for a bit. Go figure.

As for the Wheels, nice but a few more full views could help.

Nice,,,, now where are those pics??

The reason the thumbs up and down are mixed-up is because recently the two symbols changed position on the icon list. I have also made this mistake several times.

I will try and take some good pictures of the 18x10 wheels and 305s this weekend and post them.

what are you running on the front??

Glenn

Running stock wheels and tires on the front and widened 9 1/2" stock wheels on the rear with Nitto 295s. The Nitto 305s DR are mounted on Bullitt deep dish 18x10" chrome wheels purchased from Mustungtuning.com for an extremely reasonable price. The Bullitts are only for the track. I do not like the DRs on the street.

Check these out for your fronts. 18x8.5 with a 50mm offset. Think they would look great with you rears. Think I am gonna splurge on the 8.5s and the 10s. Do you think they would fit right?? Or look right??

Polish up that satin lip and I think they will look great. Looks like the Marauder centercap will fit as well.

Best to double check your clearances in the rear for the 18X10 wheel, it's going to be a tight fit.

What was the offset on the 18x10's? or backspaceing. Please let me know soon. Gonna buy a set here in the next 2 days.

I said I would post photos of the new Bullitt 18x10 wheels I bought for my 305s DR, sorry for the delay. The wheels fit very well and only stick out a little. Clearance at the shock is at least 3/4". A real bargain for mounting your DRs and swapping them out with your street tires.

So, what is the issue with them sticking out a little bit? Is it illegal or just a curb nuisance?

Bump,

So is it illegal for the tires to stick out a little in FL or just a nuisance?

I ¨THINK¨some states allow a certain amount sticking out. I think it more applies to duallies or trucks with large tires....like a set of 44¨mudders with a 12¨lift. :D
