I got a slow leak in the rear driver-side tire, which was balding in the middle. I have kept my tire pressure consistently between 34-36 psi cold, and the Sears technician says they were over-inflated. I read that they should be inflated more on some threads in here, can someone explain that to me? I wanna avoid those flat spots again, because there was a LOT of tread left over on the sides.
Second, I paid 809 out the door for all 4 tires (tax, shipping, balancing, disposal, etc, etc...) What's the best price anyone has paid for all four tires, OEM size and brand, out the door? I had to take this because I needed them right away.
By the way, my mileage is a little over 22K, and the fronts aren't as worn on the inside. And the slow leak came from a damn allen-wrench, with the long-side in the tire..!

I just replaced my rears that were worn in the middle with 13,400 miles on them.
The rears delivered (Tire Rack), mounted and balanced at my L/M Dealer was ~330.00 total. (I kept the old tires)
Fronts are still Ok and 1/2 tread left.

I run my tires on two Marauders (one has Pirellis, the other BFG) at 40 PSI for city driving, 38 PSI for extended road trip/highway use. It's a tad rougher ride, but it works for me and how I drive my Marauders. I like the feedback.
809 out the door you say, with correct OEM size BFG KDWSs installed and balanced?
You done good.

I got mine at Costco in March. It cost a little under $650.
P.S. that included a $60 rebate on a purchase of 4 tires.

Had the rears done at the L/M dealer last August for $350. Fronts just completed 2 weeks ago at the Ford (formerly SVT) dealer for $320. Total $670 including the Road Force Balancing. Not too bad considering. ;)

I paid under $620 out the door from Costco and that includes lifetime balancing and warrenty (pro rated).
When I got a screw stuck in my passenger rear tire 2 months after purchase they provided me with a new and balanced and installed it for $12.00.

Well, there you go...809 out the door could be beat by Costco, wish I had one around me that carried my Pirellis.
I thought 809 was a good deal, 'cause my choice in tires usually run about 250. per corner. My last set of 285/45-18 Assymetricos were 450 each, just off the truck, unmounted, unbalanced, and so on. But, boy-oh-boy, what a ride...

Hello, with more time to shop (Tire Rack is a supporting vendor here) you could have done better and I am sure you will on your next set. The pressures you have been running are low for our stock tires. I run 40 in my Nittos. Lost the centers of my originals running 34 # and of course the insides on the fronts with stock alignment. Use the Carfixer alignment specs. You will get good mileage unless your right foot weighs as much as mine.:burnout: Dennis:burn:

Do not know which year your maraduer is?
If you have a '03 300 A car I would put the 245/50 all the way around.
That way you can rotate tires. I got 30,000 off the rears and 33,000 off the fronts. And with control arms (M&Z) sway bars the car handles like its on rails:up:

Wish I could, I have an '04. At least the spare is a full-size (front)...the previous owner bought an extra polished wheel. 30K sure sounds good!
Going in a couple of hours to have the tires replaced. Gonna check to make sure when they align the car, their tools won't scratch up the wheels. This is gonna be fuuuuun tonight!

First of all, never listen to any technician when it comes to tire pressure.
Your best source of information on tire pressure is the TIRE MANUFACTURER...
BF Goodrich says we should inflate our KDWS tires 5 - 7 psi over Ford's recommendation,
but not to exceed 90% of the max tire pressure which is 44 psi.
So 40 psi is the correct pressure for these tires on a Marauder.
I ride with all 4 at 40 psi, and I can get 30k out of the rears,
and close to 35k out of the fronts.

Mac,
Costco Tire Warehouse is a Tire Dealer.
If they do NOT stock the tire you are looking for, they can order it,
if you have the 10 business days to wait.
You can save a bunch of money this way.
Sears, Sam's Club, and BJ's all work this way too.
I got 2 rear tires installed @ Costco for $152.95 ea + tax.
If you just buy the tires and have them mounted elsewhere, they are $10 less ea.
