What are Your Thoughts on this Monster of a Mod Motor:
Teksid block
Darton MID sleeves (wet) (is this possible with a Teksid?)
302 machined block
forged stroker crank
Oliver or Manley billet I-beam rods w/ arp 2000 bolts
custom 20 over CP forged pistons w/ 9.1-1 compression
Speed Pro file fit plasma moly ring set
ARP main studs
ARP head studs
new Billet Oil Pump Gears & High Volume oil pump and pick up
new rear seal plate
8 bolt automatic flex plate
8 bolt SFI internal balance dampner
computerized balancing
professional assembly and spintested
Fox Lake fully ported 4V Modular heads w/ Stage 2 porting on MM Heads
Should anything else be done to build a bad ass motor....?
Does anyone see any problems?
Anyone have any suggestions as to what else can be done?
Should I go Wet or Dry Sleeve.... (daily driver/ weekend road course MM)

Teksid block: strong
Darton MID wet sleeves: these work on any aluminum block and are big bore sleeves.
302 Block? With the stroker crank and standard sleeves it's a 302, with the big bore sleeves and a standard crank it's a 305, with both it's a 324.
Forged stroker crank: good
I-beam rods: good, but make sure and decide what you want to do first, custom pistons/rods are needed with big bore/stroker.
CP pistons: Big bore or .020 over? not sure which you're planning on. CP is a good choice and rings come with them. Chrome-moly is standard, stainless upgrade available. For street the chrome-moly is better.
Speed-pro moly rings: use what comes with the pistons.
ARP main studs: if you use a main girdle you have to get special studs from DSS.
ARP head studs: good
Oil pump stuff: good
Rear seal plate: new seal, re-use the old plate.
flex plate: I'm looking into a SFI rated one, keep an eye out for a future posting.
SFI dampener: good, Innovators West, Fluidamper, Romak are 3 I know of.
Balancing: of course...
Professional assembly,testing: of course...
Ported heads: ought to help.
Sounds similar to what I'm working on.
You just quoted yourself a $10k motor.

Man Brian, it looks like I will be just on shy side of your build:eek: . Wow, is SSHS6 going to be very, very interesting this year:D . Zack, I hope your build is done by then and you can make it to Atlanta. There will be some interesting comparisions for us all to see;) and talk about.

Yea, mine came in at about $15K for that motor you quoted. Just about the same as mine except I went cast iron, didn't need sleeves and stayed with a 4.6.
Oh, and I capped mine with more bling...

More'n that...
And then some more....
Fox-Lake does great work, but they are NOT cheap!
Those heads are every bit of $2,500.
Add a set of cams and springs and you can throw in another $1,500.

Are you saying that is a GT-40 motor converted to a wet sump?

No, looks like a set of GT heads on a cobra block. I base this on the fact that the torque converter inspection hole is open. He could have machined that out to swat it into a car that needed an automatic though...

Take a look at the height of the motor... it's not a 4.6 ;)

You've described my 4.6 that I built for my 97 Cobra. Only I went with Diamond pistons and no sleeves  Thats a ProCharger F-2M attached to it.
