Been busy, so I haven't posted about the progress of the reapirs from my rear ender. After a week, the shop called and said that my car was ready. Went to pick it up, and it really looked pretty good. Work was done by David Taylor Cadillac in Houston. Paint looks good, fit and finish look like factory, so I'm a happy camper. Until...
A few days later I'm trying to play some CD's from my trunk mounted changer. Nothing. I get out to check the changer and what do I see? Of course, it's mounted right in the area of impact, so it's "twisted" a little. The cartridge comes in and out OK, it just won't play. Never even thought to look under the trunk liner pad to check out the changer when the shop was first doing the estimate.
So, back to the shop to let the guy look at the changer, take pics, etc. Shouldn't be any problem getting it replaced. Waiting on OK from insurance company now.
BTW, the insurance company is still trying to contact the #$&^^%@ who hit me. They call and leave messages and write, but he won't respond. They may have to sue him to get their money (and my deductible) back.
