Dayum .... that's a sad picture. :( "One is the loneliest number". "But two can be as sad as one; but the loneliest number is the Number 1."

Better luck next time ..... I figure that Marauders and Hooters would be a big combo draw.

It was a open invite. You were more then welcome.
Im glad I brought 2 of my friends, we had lunch and left hooters at 3pm and still not a sign of life.

It's happened here with the Windy City crew too.

Don't take it to heart, my friend. Worst time of the year to ask anyone to come out to a car meet about now, is on a weekend. Lot's of other stuff to do in schedule combat with that, like family stuff, back yard BBQs, kid's sporting games, family vacations, and all that.

Early spring and late fall gets the best meets. Just the way it goes, eh?

If I was in the area and knew about it, I would have met up with you, K?

How can i progam this site to alert me to anything at all that happens within 600 miles? I have known nothing about any of these NE meets and I have been reading this site since 6 months BEFORE buying my MM (not posting, just lurking until recently, stupid Katrina sorta broke my spirit in a big way and I didn't log into M.net for about 6 months, so that may explain a freakin' lot) ... there are simply too many threads i guess that I spend hours and hours on and I've never seen SQUAT about a NY meet. However I DO know what S/C I'm getting, so the hours haven't been spent in vain ... I even have relatives in Aquebogue and Port Jefferson, so there's ZERO reason I wouldn't have shown up ... thanks to the Ferry and my radar detector that is ... I mean, my brother lives so close to the Riverhead track you can smell the rubber burning ...

Thanks Mac for the words of encouragement. Even this past winter we had a terrible turn out for a meet. We are going to try again in late september for our "private track meet"
All our welcome and the ones who do show up always have a good time.
In my opinion, with the real estate we have out there for our disposal, its actually worth making a couple hour trek. Its the only place I can think of where you have 7K feet of straightaway and 25ft of width that you can do whatever you want on without getting arrested.

Go to quick links and select Subscribed Threads mark the one in the northeast forums that deal with NY, Then you get and e-mail letting you know to check in:)

Oh man, I am sorry. :(

Would you believe I had to time warp into the future to stop a diabolical evil doer from destroying all of humanity? :o

I didn't think so.

I'll spare you the :bs: and simply offer to cover your tab at the next GTG.:depress:
