Well here is a nice pair police interceptors we just received. Another 06 white PI, this car has 148 miles on it and we are going to install all the same modifications as we did on the Black 06 PI. SCT tuning, Addco rear sway bar, Pro guard rear skid plate, a forced rear tail shaft lubrication modification to the transmissions rear tail shaft, Dynotech MMDS, and we are going to install 3:73 gears, we will do a dyno before and after the modifications.

Then we received a 03 Marauder that is used as a high speed pursuit car, it came here with the 18" wheels were removed and 17 " CV PI rims and Z rated tires, front and rear Addco sway bars, a Art car deep transmission pan, along with a Vortech T Trim with 42 pound injectors and a 90 MMLM, the car has 4"10s and these are a bit much with the 17" wheels and tires, so we are installing 3:73 gears, we upgraded the SC install and a higher volume electric water pump for the water to air after cooler system installed on the car, along with this we will add the Pro guard rear skid plate a forced lube circuit to the rear transmission tail shaft, and we will tune the car on the dyno I will post the numbers later this week.

I thought I would post this, the Police Officer that owns this took his car to Talladega, and he averaged 168 MPH and he told me they clocked him on one pass at 188 MPH, and he still had pedal left, yes he is nuts, he is a really nice man, he called me said the car is running great, and wanted to take it to Bonneville I told him I thought they would require a cage

Uhmm Dennis, thats what I have been doing with mine. I may have to make a video of it, but with my radars ( 4 along a 2 mile stretch of "special" test track ) I have been averaging those same numbers...and yes...PEDAL TO SPARE !

Brack told me the car would do 200 MPH I think that would be a record

So, now we have an answer to that STOOPID question... "How fast is it?" We now know for sure... 188 MPH!!!!!

Nice!

Is that with the overdrive on or off?

Is that with the overdrive on or off?

With 4.10's in 3rd he'd be doing 9160 RPM. 4th would be 6410.

See this chart for gear ratios and calcs. http://www.magindat.net/ssm/info/4r70wratios.xls

That is just insane, 188mph?!?!? I'd love to see a video of that, one from a inside mounted camera and another maybe from a trailing vehicle or half way point and watch it just fly by.

He can have that record...My life/death ratio leans toward the life side...

200 MPH in a marauder is a safe bet:)

the car has 4"10s and these are a bit much with the 17" wheels and tires, so we are installing 3:73 gear

So....the car DID NOT have 4.10's.

Thats good enough to run a NASCAR race....maybe even take the pole some where!!!

A Marauder in NASCAR. That hasent been done in what.....35 years or so....

Even though it was not mentioned I guess it's safe to assume he had a MMDS? Is that a built motor too, it just seems like the Marauder would need a lot of power to overcome wind resistance and all to clock 200.

Per the worksheet above, 3.73's would let him be at 6301 RPM at 200.
4.10's would be at 6926 rpm (not possible)
3.55's would be at 5997 rpm (pedal left)

This is at 724 revs per mile as on stock rears.

I got Dennis to put in 3:27s in mine and I love it.

According to Rich's little spreadsheet there..... you would be at about 5440 RPMS at 200  PLENTY!!

And you have ticketed people for "speeding"??? Just kidding... It just sucks to get pulled for 10 over with tons of "PEDAL TO SPARE"...;)

Yes you may have enough gear, however the real question is do you have enough power to overcome the wind resistance? Also can your motor handle staying at 5k+ rpms for an extended period of time, while you slowly approach the 200 mph mark. I just don't think it's that easy to throw on a blower to your stock motor, upgrade the driveshaft, get some high speed tires, and boom be on your way to 200 mph.
