Would e-cutouts be comparable to aftermkt exhaust performance? As I understand, both don't necessarily increase low-end performance but you notice it at higher speeds.
Would they complement each other or could one do better than the other?
is this a dumb question

ok... I was just thinking of an earlier thread (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19280&highlight=cutout) where TMF was going to look into dyno results for cutouts. I guess no one else has thoughts on this

I did a dyno test... I lost about 6ft.lb. down low and gained about 3hp at the top. Not even worth the effort really. But, I was only running 13psi of boost too... :D
Where they really shined was the "Ricer Scare Factor"...
They are now off my car and on my bench...

We are not a "fan" of cutouts...they just make a lot of noise and no power....

I was just going to say "yes, it has been tested on a dyno" and TMF spoke up. Todd is also on the money. Cutout = more noise + zero gains.
