So I am just not aloud to catch a break it seems. Its been what 11 days since I got my Marauder and I thought it was all goody and than today I have a message left on my cell from the Finance guy saying there was a problem w/ the bank and they were rejecting my contract(again). I call him back and he is too busy to talk and says he'll get back to me so I wait(while at work) for him to call and he does and says he is working on it and well get back to me in 30 minutes. This was at 11 or so and get off a 6 w/out a thing.

So I get home and decide to call around 6:45 and he says he is on the phone w/ the bank right than and would call me in 5 minutes. So about 45 minutes go by and no call so I call back and the place is closed.

So now I am as you can guess quite PO'd! So guess what I am going to do in the morning, yep, I well be waiting there for the place to open and than I am going to request a sit down w/ the Manager and if he is not there I am going to demand he either comes in or I talk on the phone w/ him and get this crap straight:argue: .

If anything I am going to demand to have my Lincoln back up front so I can take the tag off the 'Rauder and onto the LS and than switch everything back and get my money back and I am gone. This is just rediculous, this place is a complete and absolute joke. What really pisses me off is I love this car, finally get one and now it appears its going back and not only that, but I cancelled the warranty on the LS so know I HAVE to get another because this car very funny about things.

:mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :shake:

Wow...Bummer. Hope it works out for you.

For a moment, I was confusing you with another member here, "Beemer", who's trying to sell his 300A, and wondering "WTF?".

LOL, I'm Beamer. Not to confused w/ BMW, my last name is Beams so you can see where I got it or I should say where my B-ball coach and friends got it.

I hope it works out too, really hope I can keep this anger through the night.

Hi. I'm some guy who doesn't have a Mauraduer yet, but wants one. I came upon this site through a search and saw this post. I wasn't gonna register sicne I don't have a Marauder yet, but I hate seeing people get taken advantage of by car dealers.

What the sleazy dealer is trying is the "Financing fell through" scam. The finance guy wants you to be emotionally attached to the car, so he can have you sign a new contract when he says the bank rejected your loan. he is either lying about that, or knew from the start that you wouldn't be approved for the rate he quoted.

you shuld read more about it here http://www.carbuyingtips.com/scams.htm#Scam1

Try the LendingTree.com site.

Capital One works through them and they are quite easy for car loans.

They approve in 24 hours and send you a check negotiable with the dealer where you bought the car.

Hope it works out for you.

Regards,

Dave

My guess is similar Beamer........... U got to ask yourself........ How is my credit????? Noen of my biz, so don't answer, but if you have a .670 or higher, you should get bought no problem provided your Debt ~to~Income ratio is OK.... If it is,the GM, or the finance guy is probably trying to make more margin by continuing to shop for a wider spread, or some bank dangled a program in front of the F&I person, and said " get us this many loans with ppl. who are credit worthy and we will send u on a trip or give u a watch".........

SOme bs like that. The bottom line is if your credit and debt to income is in line, then stick to your guns:uzi:

Good luck!

My Credit is pretty good, that is what they told me. Its now apparently just all of a sudden and out of the blue that they need more money. I remember when they upped the price alittle and I about called it there but figured it out and said ok and than he called the bank w/me there and they even said it was ok so something is not right.

I am getting ready to head out there right now. Funny thing is I got my bill from GMAC for my LS last night and looking at those numbers is making it easier to go back and get that car back even though I like this car and it has much more value but what can you do.

If it works out, cool, I'll be around here if not.... Well than I can hope to find a mint MM down the road :crosses fingers:

Relax.

The dealer wants to sell you that Marauder more than you want to buy it.

Kudos to new-guy above that posted the scam notice... that's what this smells like to me.

I think the less you do, the sooner this will fix itself.

If they see you're excited/angry, they'll know you're weak.

If you're cool as a Marauder, they've lost their leverage to pry more $$ out of you and they'll move on.

Sad the stealership can't be busy with real work, but if they write enough loans they should be able to get your's done somehow... some bank appreciates their business enough to make this happen.

I wouldn't put any more gas in the car 'til this is worked out, but don't get excited. (trust me, I know that's alot easier to say when I'm not in the middle of it!)

Hey, Welcome to Marauderdom! Hope you get the car that's right for you, weather it's this one or the next one.

Bypass the dealer completely when it comes to financing. I get my loans approved through my credit union prior to looking at a vehicle and when I locate what I want I just call them with the VIN and the check is overnighted. Search the web and you will find plenty of lenders. Good Luck

he s right..... they wouldnt let you off the lot if the bank had nt said it was o k...do you have a signed loan agreement a half mile long that they gave you with your rate and payments and all the legal mumbo jumbo. if so , tell them to screw or your calling the a g 's office , bbb ,or some like agency.......

:mad2: I have to agree with our brethren herein. There was no way they would have let you leave the lot if your credit wasn't ok. This guy is just looking for more money, or he made a mistake with your deal and is now trying to recoup his losses. If you have to walk away then do so, you have do what's right for you.

I think they are trying to get more money out of you. I'd tell them you going to call the Better Business Bureau and the N.C. State Attorney General's office.

Whelp it did not work out, I went there and the guy said the bank was being hard so I said best bet would be to switch everything back over to the LS and he said yep and we traded cars again and I drove off 5 minutes later in my LS. I am actually pretty happy, back to a alittle lower pymnt, slightly better mpg. No Marauder though:alone: , I almost went to the dealer next to it w/ the silver one but I am done know. Going to take my licks and use the refund for the warranty to get new tires and upgrade the brakes on the LS and than the rest well go into the Sable I have to get it going and sell that for a profit and than look for another warranty and put the rest in the savings.

If you guys do not mind an LSer on here I would like to hang around and learn more of the Merc for possible future references. Well that and you guys are really nice compared to the other places I visit. If you want to go LincolnVsCadillac.com and go to the Lincoln LS forum you'll see what I mean, bunch of haters there.

Too bad about the deal Beemer. For what it is worth, stick around here, recover, and when a member has one they want to sell, arrange your financing through e-Loan or some other online financing co. and make a deal that way.

From what I can tell. People here take much better care of their Marauders, then the avg. car you may find on a dealer lot.

Just cause you don't have one now, does'nt mean you won't one day. Good luck :banana2:

Yea Tom it was Pinnacle Lincoln, used to be Vantage. Last time I go there, I was at the place when it was down the road from the new location and was still Vantage and they screwed up when I was trying to get into an LS.

Going back one more time though, got to go get my the rest of the downpayment back.
