Has anybody here seen the crap talk about our cars on Edmunds.com?

I used to go there before I found this site and have not been there for some time. Went back today and could not believe all the crap and misinformation about our cars that is still being posted on the so called "MARAUDER" community. I'd really like to request that ALL of us loyal MM owners spend a lot of time on this site and see if we can't set the record straight on our car. The few times in the past that I posted some good comments about the car I was quickly "flamed" and no one to back me up. Many potential buyers go to this site and read too much bad information about our car. Maybe I'm just being too sensitive and would like some second and third opinions on what is being posted there and how we should respond. Wouldn't bother me as much if it was for another model. Can I get some help there?
The last post there was:
"This site's slow, just like the marauder!"

If link does not work, go to www.edmunds.com, click on tab for "Car Discussion" then click on "See more Makes", "Mercury" then "Marauder"...thanks...

I just checked it out and can't find what you're talking about. There are some negative posts, but most of the discussion seemed to be civil and informed and not out of line at all.

I've never felt the need to defend my MM or try to "sell" the car to anyone else. Many of the criticisms of the MM are on the money and I think FMC and LM could and should have done some things differently from the start. I don't think it's "misinformation" as such that's turned potentials buyers away from this car - the real stats are enough to make some serious buyers look elsewhere. Some people, including many here who own and love the car, expected more out of the MM, but LM didn't deliver.

Bottom line - I could care less what other people think of the car and don't feel a need to "set the record straight" or educate those who aren't interested enough to do their own research and figure out if it's the car for them. I also have no interest in how many MM's sell and whether or not they continue to build them past 2004. As has been said on this board by others before me...

I got mine and I love it.

So Mat, just what more did you expect for $30,000.00. I followed the MM from day one and did not find where LM dropped the ball as far as what the car does. It delivered everything that was promised--HP, ride, handling, braking. That's what's confusing to me. Why did anyone expect more from this car for the money that was paid?

It does NOT matter to me one little bit what some idiot likes or dislikes about the 03MM. I got mine Almost 3 weeks ago and have found it to be the best new vehicle I have ever puchased and can not find enough "excuses" to find a reason to hop in and tear up the road!! MM's ROCK!!
