Lets talk NOS

Well, it's gonna be a long time before I can afford forced induction and I loved my NOS on other cars. (Bang for the buck) you know. With that said who can recommend a reliable setup for a 100-125 shot wet, dry etc.. ¿ Any tips I should know? Whats the best kit or should I put my own together? And finally does anyone have applicable items they want to sell?

Hey, I get to be #1 in the reply chain, that doesn't happen often.

I bought my Zex kit during the group buy some time ago. It was assembled just for the Marauder because the line from the trunk to the engine bay has to be longer than the standard off the shelf kit. Price $500.00 There is a "how too" with pictures on DR's forum on this site.

My installation was done by my son, the Honda mech, and he did an outstanding job. It's a wet system and comes with jets for 75,100,125 shot.

I got a tune from Lidio, alternative automotive. I'm very happy with the results, lowered my ET by .5 second.

This Zex system is computer controlled and works only at WOT. The computer senses both gas and gasoline pressure and doesn't allow the system to work if one or the other is missing or too low in pressure.

I also posted a "how to" some months back. I like my system, get lots of good comments, and it works OK.

I've been running a wet system for about 3 years. You will need a tuner to retard the timing 2,4,0r 6 degrees depending on what HP jets your running. The Zex kit is probadly the easiest system to hook up, even though I'm not running that system. It wasn't available to our cars when I did the install. You will need to run 100 octane fuel to keep everything safe at the track. Either Lidio, or Dennis have the tuning for the Nitrous. Oh, and one other item, tires, lots of tires...

Search the forums for NOS or Zex...and look for one by me, and I believe one from Wes. Wes coordinated the group buy from Zex.

That thread explains which one we bought.

Lidio did my install. And it was quite a sweet install his boys did. Lidio also did my reprogram on my SCT multi-setting chip for street use nos shots, and race use nos shots.

They do great work at Alternative. And the tuning is of the upmost quality.
