Well......

"FordNut" was kind enough to send me his spare module which was very easy to install once I found it!!:argue: The suspension worked fine for 3 days.....BUT last Tuesday PM it "SQUATTED" again with the same ole "Prrrrrrr.........Psssssss" every 10 seconds or so with the rear not budging!!:mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

Wednesday AM at about 5:00.....I started the car and "Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" for about 20 seconds and the rear height was fine again.......What the HELL is going on here?? Spooks??

Next step is to replace the pump since it contains a pressure relief valve that MAY be defective??

Any other ideas??

BTW.......after it pumps up I can turn it off and the bags hold air overnight so I don't think it can be the solenoids on the bags.:shake:

Sounds like you have some detective work ahead, rounding up and eliminating suspects...

Solenoid is venting for some reason. Check ride hight sensor.

New ride height sensor....new (FordNut) module and for some reason it will squat in the late afternoon and go "Prrrrrrrr......Pssssssss" at the pump and nothing happens!!??:mad2:

Let it sit overnight and start it in the AM......Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrr.....for 10-15 seconds and all is well again!!:help:

It may be OK for a week or two and then squatting again!!??:argue:

Brian said I could try the pump he has but I'm going to wait and see what happens over the next week or so?? I wish there was some way to manually raise the rear when it is down......Anyone know how??

Well.....

I think I FINALLY found the problem??

I ran the car with Brian's (FordNut) module for a month or so and yesterday I had to run about 35 miles to a customer and wouldn't ya know....IT SQUATTED AND RODE LIKE A DAMN BUCKBOARD!!!:argue: :mad2:

When I got back home I installed the new air pump I got from Brian (BTW....THE FERRULE THAT HOLDS THE OUTPUT HOSE IS A PITA!!!) and it did not help so I jacked it up and checked to see if the solenoid switches on the air bags were plugged in tight....YEPPERS!!:help:

Next I fiddled with the height sensor and it did nothing to stop the pump from running a few second and then exhaling!!??

Last thing I checked was fuse number 114 under the hood and it looked fine but just for kicks I switched it with another 30A one out there and the DAMN thing pumped for 30-40 seconds raising the car to the right height!!??

So far it has worked flawlessly?? Do you suppose all of this crap has been caused by a faulty fuse all along?? IT WAS INTERMITTANT...possibly corrosion??:bigcry:

Anyone needing a control module or an air pump....contact me!!

Stay Tuned!!

I just went out to check the air suspension and it appeared the rear height was about where it should be and the temp is 46*......Brrrrrrrr!!!!

I figured the cold air would cause it to be a bit low but I turned the key and waited but no pump so I guess it is OK......Knock On Wood??

We'll see what a few days bring as it has acted OK for 3-4 weeks at a time....DAMN GREMLINS!!!:argue:
