This sounds like a great idea---for when a large group of MM's will be coming down the I-95 for MVIV------there could be alot who may want to come earlier for a bit of ....uh.....pep.........just my thoughts---I may be even interested to stop and get a bit of ...pep --so to speak .....before going on downward..........Tom

Things do look good here. I will have to make a call. Just got the MMX DS and loop installed today.:D :D
Uh oh...that is quite a list! So if I understand it you will provide an updated tune for me if I purchase the PI 3000? I have an Xcal I bought from another member with Alternative Auto tunes. The current tune has a no lock up schedule under 63 mph, and then only in OD...Id like to try a tune with a revised lock up schedule...
This is not good, my bank account is going to suffer, no doubt :)

Well if some one else bought the tuner and did not return there vehicle back to stock the tuner is locked to there car, and the tuner has to go back to SCT to be unlocked and they charge 150.00. Then normally the tune is 100.00 this is what most SCT dealers charge, there are some that charge more, I charge 100.00 again I am fair. as I said for the person that bought the PI converter I will send him a file for free.

Yes, the person I got the Xcal from did return their vehicle back to stock before giving it to me. So we assumed your base tune was still on it, and since his mods were close to what mine were at that time we figured it wouldn't be a problem.
His mods:
were PHP cold air intake
Kooks exhaust system
410 gears
180 stat
Mine:
K&N cold air intake
DR cobra exhaust system with Flowmasters
PHP spacer
180 stat
355 gears, 410's soon to come

Thanks Mac. I actually responded to that thread in Feb! I'm getting senile. But lost my job shortly thereafter and missed the GB and have been severely broke since then. I am definitely going to get this mod, just will have to pay a bit more now.
Back in late '04 I called Dennis with 4K burning a hole in my pocket from the sale of my old truck. I essentially bought one of just about everything he had at the time. I asked for the complete exhaust package, but rather than do the easy thing and sell it to me, Dennis did the ethical thing and volunteered the information that there was no way I would pass the smog out here with it on, and any shop that installed it would be fined.
I wanted the whole system, with the Cobra manifolds, X pipe and high flow cats, etc. With the cats on it now the engine is breathing though a straw.
I settled for delete tips from Wes. I thought about getting new Ford or other performance mufflers, but it will make zero difference on the car performance-wise so why bother.
If you know of any CA compliant exhaust which will let it pass smog and still add HP then I would be interested. But as long as I have to keep these crappy cats, nothing is really going to make an improvement IMO.
Thanks,
Norm

I understand now, Norm, thanks. I wasn't aware that the DR Cobra exhaust is not C.A.R.B. compliant. Best wishes for a solution, hope things turn around for you soon.
I am thinking about a Front and rear sway bar and control arms package deal. I want 'em all and keep running into timing and funding problems.
Those problems won't exist in November, so bring 'em all! I want to install them while at MV4, so I can test drive the car and feel the difference...
...While having fun, that is!

Well you buy a hundred of them and sell them for that. I am not summit racing. I can not buy in vast quantities. I can not get those at that price and by the time I did and have them shipped and a normal mark up you are at the price as advertised.

Can anyone explain to me exactly how the these lines help improve braking? More flow? More pressure? I know that ya'll won't be paying those prices just to pimp your brakes.

They don't "flex" anywhere near as much as the stock lines do, improving pedal feel dramatically.
My only concession to bling thus far is my SS Inserts...:beatnik:
