Pro-gard rear skid plate U200FR, "outie" installation. That's Pro-gard, not Pro Guard.
Most people have installed this as an "inie", but doing that negates the skid plate function. The "outie" install keeps the bumper protected from "bottoming out" rips. The "outie" is also more aerodynamic, as no air passes over the exposed edge of an "inie" install.
I did not use any of the supplied fastners. I did use the OEM evap cannister bolts. For the bumper I used #10-24 bolts, about three inches long, with square nut in place of the OEM metal clips and screws (tiny flimsy OEM screws). First I put the bumper fastners on, then the evap cannister bolts. You may need long arms to hold the nut in place while trying to thread that bolt in.
I plan a modification of this item, pulling the corners up closer to the frame with a bracket mounted to the muffler insulator bolt.
I don't think they designed this with aerodynamics in mind, because there are gaps here and there, e.g., the rubber plugs at each corner of the trunk tub stick out and the guard plate touches them, causing the plate to hang down more than it should.
Yes, I have a Crown Vic, but I read up on this aftermarket item on this forum.
