Okay, I am a clueless noob.

That being said, I am attempting to install the Ford Racing Products M-7095-sr tranny cooler.

The question is what size tubing do I run to and from the new FRP cooler?

Existing tranny line metal stubs 0.324" OD. New cooler metal stub 0.343" OD.

Available tubing at my local FLAPS 3/8" (0.375" ID) and 5/16" (0.313" ID).

Here is the link to the tranny cooler http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField= 1153

Here is a view of the tranny cooler mounted:

I am guessing I should get the 5/16" ID tubing and somehow jam it onto the metal tubing stubs.

Thanks in advance!

It should have been a "kit" that includes all the required hoses, brackets and so on. Did you not get this kit?

Disconnect the rubber RETURN hose going from the factory cooler to the metal transmission tubing. Use a new section of 3/8" oil hose to connect the outlet on the factory cooler, to the inlet on the new cooler. Install worm-gear hose clamps on both connections.

Run a section of 3/8" hose from the NEW cooler outlet, to the factory metal return line that you disconnected the factory rubber hose form before. Install worm-gear hose clamps on both connections.

That should be it, take care when routing the hoses for moving parts, and sharp objects. If needed, encase the new hose in plastic wire loom to protect it from possible damage points.

Your install looks good thus far :)
