in the local ford dealership i picked up the 2006 mustang accessories book, and one of the wheel options looks exactly like the stock marauder wheels, with a mustang center cap instead of the gods head.

says its an 18 x 8 wheel, can see it online through the ford website.... couldnt link it cause it was a java menu, but check it out.

yep - our wheels are now options for the stang, which is good for us, means we will have more and more options ourselves.

I went through the whole wheel thing with the dealer, those wheels have a slight difference around the center cap,So that they are now a Mustang wheel.Other wise they are the same wheel.

So are you saying that we can't use our center caps on these rims?
How about the Cobra centers? or even just blanks?

They still exist as an option?

There is no conflict with caps.
What Mark is saying is that there is but the smallest forging difference.
That difference lies at the circumfrence of the opening where the center cap mounts on the wheel.

The originals we received, have a beveled edge there.

These 'new' ones have a flat edge there.

Someone looking really close, perhaps a grader at a car show, may notice that the wheels are indeed...somewhat different.

Other than that....whala!

18x8.5? I'm guessing a typo???

I think the 8.5" width is a typo on the website. The accessories catalog at the dealer says that tyhe wheel is 18x8. The other wheels in the catalog are mostly 18x8.5 Bullitts (black, anthracite, chrome, and polished). I was thinking that the blacks would have been sweet on my MM... if I didn't sell it :(

Yes, typo indeed.

Just got off the phone regarding the above. FRPP has discontinued these wheels. Even though they are newly listed in the '06 catalog as Mac points out! Ahhh...ain't it great the service we get?

If you go to Ebay and put in this Item number: 190040737174. You will see wheels like ours for $600.00 for a set of 4. If you are looking for winter wheels that look the same and cost much less than Ford sells them for.
