The avenue's evolution probably isn't complete. Other dealers say John Eagle Lincoln Mercury – a stalwart 40-year resident of Lemmon – may be sold and replaced by a BMW dealership.
None of the parties involved in the purported deal would discuss it.
"There have been some proposals, some offers, but there are no agreements," said Sonny Morgan, managing partner of John Eagle Lincoln Mercury and Aston Martin of Dallas. "Unless something happens, my future is as a Lincoln Mercury dealer on Lemmon. If anything happens and this thing gets sold, there are opportunities out there, and we might seize them."
"You'll see BMW on Lemmon," Mr. Campbell predicted. "You'll see some more boutique auto dealerships, and you will see some high-end used."

Todays DMN.

Looks like it may become even more difficult to get parts and service in the future if this takes place.

To me (if it happens) its just the admition that Lincoln isnt willing to step up to the plate with the big boys.

Or can't. Ford must save Ford before they worry about L/M
