Sweet! Always wanted an El Camino, but never had the opportunity. That one looks too good to pass up if it's really numbers matching.

I always wanted a 69 Chevelle or El Camino. I had a 71 El Camino and loved it just not the right year. My buddy sells muscle cars for a living (Barrett Jackson Auctions as well as others) and he just went to California for this car and drover it home 4.5 hours to here (Arizona) where his business is based. The car is straight as an arrow and totally rust free.
He is giving me a fair price on it.
Since I am about 5 weeks away from opening my brand new MOBIL 1 Lube Express shop and Hand Car Wash/Detail center here in Anthem I will use it as a shop car (same color as a Mobil 1 Synthetic oil container). My own little pie wagon.
I have the wife 75% sold on it so we will see. Money is beyond tight as we are writing checks with lots of digits for the new business. I am in the wrong business, I need to be a contractor here in the North Valley of Maricopa County.
Remind me to post pictures of my new shop. The floors will be epoxyed and the waiting room will be decorated by my wife in a cool western motif. It's been 2 years in the planning stages and we are almost there!
I have not worked now for a little over a year so it will be nice to get income again.

I gotta say I am a little jealous! I took over my family's business last year (a little mom 'n' pop BBQ joint) and I am more than grateful for the income it has provided as well as being my own boss, but I too have longed to open another business that my hobby can shine through. Cars are so incredible to me and I have a friend that owns a very lucrative detail service and is fortunate enough to work on some VERY nice machines on a daily. Like I said I am so incredibly grateful that my family provided me with this business, but I still can't shake the idea of owning/operating/working around automobiles! But alas, I am still young and one of these days I'll find that niche!
Oh yeah, about the El Camino... I love that year! Buy it! :D

If money is tight... why are you asking if you should buy it?! Forget it.
Not unless you know this will make you money in your business or it's a deal too good to be true. I wouldn't suspect that a, "Fair deal," is too good to be true.
Since you have a connection in the musclecar business you should be able to find another great car after the business is rolling smooth and making money.
I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I know all too well what it means to be tight on funds and still want toys. Stick to the task at hand, the rewards will come.

Hey, Even Bill Clinton had an El Camino.... buy it! Look wher it got him.
Love it, seriously, l'd pull the trigger. It's a business expense since you'll need a shop truck.
