ANYONE WITH BOTH

Actually posted this in another thread (mufflers), but it may get lost--and besides , the one on " Tips" has gotten a bit toooooo long.. and NOT to be confused with the thread on mufflers so here goes....

Has anyone or does anyone have BOTH new muffler upgrades, i.e., Flows 40's or similiar along with the new "Tips" we have just bought and installed recently--??(Well alot of us have) ....

Wonder if the sound is significantly more growl or what--Fourth Horseman has replied that too much loss of back pressure may not be a good situation....so here we go again.....has anyone stepped up to the plate already or plan to soon...I just have the new tips and they are much more of a growl.....was thinking of further moving on to adding the Flow's 40's....what the opinion of the board???

I've put both the resonatorless tips and FlowMax mufflers on my car, its definitely more louder that's for sure and I've gotten quite a few more stares and a few more "attaboy's"

Marauderman...go to www.goravin.com and listen to the Mustang sound file, my MM is close to this, and you can speculate from there.

SergntMac:

First, thanks for all your terrific, informative, and DETAILED posts! Just thought I'd post this question here for the benefit of others who may have the same question . . .

Since many of the exhaust related posts here indicate a potential loss of low-rpm torque as a result of decreased backpressure, were you ever able to determine if any negative effects from installing the Ravins on your torque band (especially at low rpms) resulted among any of your dyno pulls?

I'm holding off on installing my new non-resonator Megs tips until I can decide on the Ravins. Also, after visiting the Ravin site, I wasn't sure which ones we need--if you still remember the part number, that'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks again for all your help!
