Well it has come to an end. I am trading in my Marauder tomorrow. I have to say I am going to miss it dearly but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to have a car I have been wanting for a while now. The Marauder is making way for a 2006 Tungsten Grey Mustang GT Convertible. I've always wanted a convertible and I figured this will be one of my last opportunities to do so. So I just wanted to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the Northeast Mauraders as well as all the other great people I met along the way. Woodward Dream Cruise, Hooters in East Meadow, and the "Private" track meet were all a blast. I hope that in the near future I can still make an appearance and hang with some really cool people. Thanks again all!

Sorry to hear that you are getting rid of it. It was no doubt one of the loudest Marauders I have ever heard.
Good luck with your new mustang!

Thanks to everyone again for the support. And Marty, I will only be driving the GT into GCT on those nice sunshiny days. Hope to see everyone soon!

I've been saving up to buy a new car for a long time now and I believe I just bought your car yesterday! It's got a carbon fiber interior with a red stripe going accross the dash and the dealer told me the previous owner traded it in for a mustang gt convertable. I bought it at Wantagh Ford.

Also, I'd like to know what "SJB" on the signature plate stands for. I already know that "mvIII" stands for marauderville III.

Does the Marauder you picked up still have the loud exhaust or did they tone it down?

I think SJB is for Steve Babcock - Marauder project manager at Mercury.

It's still loud, all they did was give me new all season tires and new break pads.

That Marauder you bought was mine! What a small world! You better take care of her..lol. She never gave me one problem yet I was seduced by another female that took her top off for me so I couldn't resist....haha. The "SJB" plaque was the one from MVIII. He personally signed each one. The red stripe is just vinyl pinstripe from Autobarn I did to try to copy the S-55 concept Marauder. The carbon fiber was from the previous owner and the "loud as all hell" exhaust was courtesy of American Muffler. It has the Flowmaster 40's, Delete Megs tips, Walker High Flow Cats, and 2 1/4 inch pipe throughout. Best of luck with her! She will definately put a huge grin on your face. If you want, I have a set of crown vic steel rims w/center caps that you can mount snow tires on for the winter. They were never used by me due to the mild winter but if your interested let me know. Plus if the exhaust is too loud, I have the stock tips that might tone it down a bit. Can you post a pic if possible? I miss her dearly....lol. Enjoy!!!!!

My mother lives in Massapequa Park near Broadway and she told me that there was always a Marauder sitting in a driveway in the area and just recently the Marauder was gone and there is now a New Mustang in its place.
I guess its a even smaller world then you think:beer:

It keeps getting smaller and smaller! Again that would be my Marauder that was in the driveway and now replaed with a new Mustang. Too funny.
