Drivers side O2 sensor in front of the cat!

I replaced the sensor. Unfortunately, the check engine light is still on.

Kooks complete system was installed by Kooks 6 weeks ago. (Fantastic SOTP power increase) I already had to replace the collector gasket on the drivers side.

Could this be related?

Thanks

Carl

Try unplugging the battery for around 20 minutes. That should clear the code and shut the light off. I'll be back to you in a sec. on other question.

P0153 Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit Slow Response - Bank No. 2.

Shouldn't be an issue (collector gasket)as the front sensor is in front of the co;;ector. Hope you used the Motorcraft sensors, the others seem to be a little quirky. You may also need some fine adjustments on your tune if this keeps happening. Besides all that, hi, how's it going? Sorry about the CSM at the beach thing, we'll try again next year.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the help!

I purchased a Bosch premium oxygen sensor.

Car came with a DR chip. I will call DR and order an XCAL2 tuner. Unless you have a suggestion. I'm also looking for a custom tuner.

Use Motorcraft replacement oxygen sensors. Do the headers move the oxygen sensors further away or closer to the engine?

Unrelated to your codes, but another suggestion:

Use copper collector gaskets from Summit. The ones in the kit are garbage.;)

The new kits use ball type flange connections so need o a gasket there.
