Has anyone ever installed a Throttle body intake spacer on a 2004 Merc ? Did it help any where?

I have phenolic ones for the throttle body (1 inch) and upper plenum (1/2 inch). With the tune I had from Lidio by accident it was a perfect combination for me. The only problem I had was a dead spot around 60-65 MPH under very easy highway driving. Everything else to include the way I could take off from a dead stop was much better. No numbers from me but the SOTP meter says I liked it.

Look at this pic, there is a PHP intake spacer on the upper intake manifold. You can see the separation by the two black grommets.

Many of us bought them back in the day. Easy 15 minute install and all of about $86. Theoretically increase intake volume = higher low end torque.

I have one...but have no idea if there were any gains.;)
