Sam - Sorry about the accident. Hope there were no injuries.
Looks like a door and a fender to be replaced and probably some cowl damage.
You'll be back on the road in no time.:D

No injuries and no air bags thankfully. Just a lot of mangled sheetmetal. I have to say, "I didnt feel a thing" so to speak. The car crashed admirably

If they change the door, you might lose the door tag. See if they could cut it and save it for you.

Sam, I was in a very similar accident last week. Only I got hit by a guy pulling out right at red light and I hit him with my passenger side. His fault as well, and his insurance is fixing up the Marauder. Very similar damage from the picture, only mine is further back. And you are right, the car crashes well as I felt nothing from the accident.

Roy its interesting you mention that. This car has no sticker which leads me to believe it previously had body work. I've heard you can get another from Ford but wouldnt know where to start...

I wish that I could get my door tag, also. I work for a dealer and I have no clue on how to get one.

Well its been quite a ride. I think it will be ready toward the end of this week. Still needs to be assembled, buffed out, shipped to the alignment shop and detailed but things are looking up! I uploaded a few shots from this weekend...everything is painted.

I had similar damage, only a LOT worse.

Great shop got her real straight. Mine was in for 13 weeks. I feel your pain, but it'll be worth it.

On a side note, can't they hook up your car's computer to a diagnostic port and tell you the engine code? Just a thought.

It's the build sticker that is missing. The one with the build date, axle code, trans, etc. My car came without one, so I always figured it had body work at some point and it was removed. The shop doing the car now (Cavallos, Newtown Square, PA) tells me that when they have work that will affect that sticker they remove it carefully with a heat gun, paint the back white and then stick it back on when the paint is done....

I am looking forward to getting the beast back.

when you replace a part of a car that has a vin sticker the shop usually cuts the vin sticker off and sends it to the factory for replacement. this ensures that there arent two cars running around with the same vin. ie.. one imposter and the real one. ask the shop to make sure they get that decal replaced it has your paint code as well as other valuable info that comes in handy at the dealership when preforming repairs.

they paint the back white because when you peel it off the stcker says void all it the background. with some patience and care sometimes you can get it off without a hitch.
