I would like to find out the best way to change the coolant in my MM , the car has 68,000 km's and I would prefer to do it myself, since I haven't had good luck with the local shops, Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not expert but all you need to do is loosen the draincock on the bottom of the radiator and let all the fluid drain (use a bucket so that you can dispose the fluid according to county laws). Then, make sure to only hand tighten it or tighten it very gently (I broke mine and it was a mission and a half to fix). Then, mix 50/50 distilled water/ Ford coolant (use the same color your car came with) and fill it via plug in crossover pipe. When full, hand tighten plug and turn engine on with Max Heater and Max fan. When fluid begins to spill via cross over pipe's plug tighten it fully (again not too tight-I broke that one too [thanks Fordnut]). When hot air blows from vents and if car doesn't begin to over heat you are done. Turn off car and let it cool completely. With engine totally cold, I would again open the plug in the cross over pipe to tap off the fluid and to allow more air to escape.
Last thing, if I had to do it over again, I would also replace the themostat. Cheap insurance and should be easy to do. I cannot comment on it since I have never changed one in a Marauder.
When filling the crossover tube, remove one hose from the heater core.
This will allow all of the air in the back of the engine to escape and prevent air pockets. Remember to reconnect that hose!
A little trick I just learned from the Ford Tech this week.
It works!
Edit: The LEFT hose on the heater core.

Any thoughts on using Evans NPG+ coolant?? It's stated to be a very long life with much higher boiling point. It does require a complete flush.

I just wait for my dealer to send me a coupon and go there. It's worth the $50 because no one around here will take the used coolant. Same goes for the tranny and brake flush because I don't have the right equipment to do those properly.

So.......What are you doing with the used coolant and oils ???
My dealership has a BIG SIGN saying that they will accept ANY USED FLUIDS for disposal.
IIRC, according to Federal law, if they SELL IT, they have to accept the WASTE for it.
State laws may be even more stringent.
WalMart was fined big time for this and now they accept waste fluids it at all locations.
