My next compuer tuner is...

Ok lets hope this one doesn't get outta hand like a supercharger form... I need a new tuner and was thinking of buying the same Superchips microtuner back, but wanna know what everyone else has and if I should consider anything else. The main reason I need one is to correct my speedo when my gear goes in which will be soon. Do any of the other tuners fix the speedo, FIX the top speed limiter or change shift points besides the Superchips?

I know I could look up others, but I would like to know from your experience. Thanks.

I dont have any personal experience with the Superchips MicroTuner, but the Xcal2 is a very easy device. It will do everything you need and more. You will get a custom tune for your application, not a cookie cutter, out of the box tune.
The Xcal will allow you to change everything you said above, and timing, fuel, maf, thermostat, etc.. alot of adjustability built in.. You should be able to get one for $379 (give or take a $20) from an SCT dealer. I know there are SCT dealers that are sponsors here, and I have not used them either, but I definitely recommend Torrie at FastPartsNetwork.com
He has given me incredible tunes for my Mark VIII and Marauder.

I have to say I do not recomend predator... they might be very good at improving the stock tume, however beyond that they could NOT tune my car AT ALL I don't know if they were confused or just could not step outside of the parameters of the stock motor size and such... To elaborate I have 42# injetors, walbro 255, paxton Novi 2000, bored and stroked to 324cid or there abouts and my car was running funny... so I got a diablo predator and they did their thing and I installed the tune... 15 AFR :rolleyes: call em back... of there must be something wrong with the car... really... had the guys from mass air come by and behold they hae me down to 12 waiting for a new pulley and GT pump so I con up the power. So again it might work for stock... but be warned. Oh by the way this was after my car sat (due to their first tune mix up) for over a week, and they could not even get me to where I could drive my car :mad2: ... mass air meter guys had me going the day they came by... oh they used the sniper thingy I dunno right now what exactly it was called

I'm both a Diablo and SCT tuner, and both the Predator and Xcal2 have their good and bad points. But I "prefer" tuning with SCT. Either one will let you change minor parameters on your own.

I have an SCT right now. My predator was much, much better.

That being said.... I have an XCAL2 w/ a locally customized Dennis Reinhart Tune.

Any tune from ANY Vendor here will work better than what you have now....
