Just thought I would post this link as a informational post. With all the interest in blowers and a couple of new trail-blazers ( Zack with the KB and Sal with the Whippled 5.4)

It has the air inlet on the drivers side and the alternator appears to be in the stock location. I am assuming these are pictures of the intercooled unit, if so it appears that it fits under the hood.

Moderators feel free to delete the thread if it creates havoc and/or turns into a giant urination contest.

Definately a nice loking Kit. Pricing is good too, as long as a LOT of modification and fabrication is not needed.

I'm considering the Ford Racing/Whipple kit for the Harley Truck.

That said, the kit you are referencing is for a 3 valve mustang engine, not the DOHC 4.6. Sorry, it won't work.

Those pics are on a 2V motor.

I know about Zack's project, but I would like to know more about this 5.4 of Sal's... if possible.

That is a 3v, look at the valve covers and coolant hose/tube setup.

They do make a kit for the 4v 4.6 but its for the 03-04 cobras. I'm sure it could be fitted for the Marauder but I don't think it would be a simple or cheap task. However I'm sure it would be worth it, also a built motor wouldnt hurt since it can run over 20lbs.

Hmm, I haven't looked real close, but I think its an >upgrade< kit, not a true conversion kit. The Lightning (and soon to be released GT500) also have upgrade kits.

I think it would be awesome to drop a built Lightning with Whipple upgrade into a Marauder. If you could get somebody to fabricate a hood with a bulge or blister for the blower, even better. Sal has proven it can be done.

ummmm question... instead of getting a whole new motor and such... why not just bore and stroke this one to what you want... I'm at 5.3 (granted not by choice) and everything fits under the hood... just sayin
