I need some opinion's fast on these as they are up on the CVN boards. The specs are 225/60/16. Will they work on my car ok and not make my air ride go crazy? I mean, I intend to rip those tires off and put good snow tires on it. But other than that, will those rims be ok? Thanks.http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/user_uploads/1262813-Pic-0017-c.jpg

225/60-16 is the standard GM/CV tire. Your speedo may be off since you use 18's. 03 and up wheels have the correct off-set.

I bought 17" Lincoln Towncar wheels with 225/60-17 Michelin AS radials last year, worked fine. No snow tires needed.

They will do but will need at least a 225/70-16 for the rear to keep the speedo accurate.

They usually hold winter tires.
Move a few hundred miles north and deal with some real snow.:D

I ran 225-60-16 Blizzacks on marquis rims.

Speedo was only off a tadd, no biggie for 5 months out of a year.;)

My wheels stuck out just a bit as well.

What year CV/GM are they off of? I would find a wheel off of an '03+ Panther car to use on the Marauder in the winter. I bought 4 CVPI steel wheels from Ray (TheDealer) and use Pirelli Scorpion winter tires.

Also, remember that if you have an '03 300B or '04 with the TC to get a set of winter tires that maintains the tire size difference front to rear.

Those wheels look like the 16" '04 CVLX wheels. They will work on a Marauder. I've got 16" CVPI steelies running 215-65-16 on the front and 215-70-16 on the back with no arguement from the T/C. Same tires as Eric91Z.

P.S. The factory rubber on those weren't the greatest in the slippery stuff. The Pirelli Scorpions are much better.

Yea, they are off a CV LX, they are '03 rims as well too. Alright then, looks like I'll be getting me those rims then. Thanks guys.

My brother has an '03 CV LX with those same rims. He experienced rim leaks on 3 of the 4 within the first year. Our local Discount Tire store commented that many of their CV LX customers have experienced multiple rim leaks. Most likely explanation is porous castings.
