I should of probably asked this before I ordered it but I'm wondering if anyone has a pic of the top of the spoiler installed like as in looking down on it. I had a scuff and when I was buffing it out with a new pad the pad was underrated for my buffer and I burnt my paint right at the edge where the truck makes the sharp turn down where the emblem is. I figure why get it painted since its small I'll just get a nice add on like the factory spoiler and put that on. But I'm not sure if it will cover it I hope so. If no one has any pics like that do you know how far it covers on the actual flat truck part or is that where is starts. Also how many total holes are drilled to install?? I still nervous about that part but hopefully I will get comfortable when I see the template and such that others have talked about that makes it easier.

The spoiler installs on the trailing edge of the trunk and DOES NOT cover the top portion of the trunk lid at all. If you burned the paint right on the turn-down edge, most of it will be covered. The spoiler actually extends the top of the trunk out a little.

Thanks for the reply I'll try and get a pic of the burned spot tomorrow so it will help with the reference.

There are 4 holes that you need to drill. Then you need to drill 4 more holes on the inside of the trunk with a hole saw to get access to the bolts. It's really pritty simple, the first hole is the hardest.:D

PM me your e-mail address if you like...

I, too, was very nervous about drilling that first hole...I've installed three more spoilers for other people since doing mine and it's really easy. Just work slowly and carefully and you'll be fine. Remember: measure twice, drill once... :D

Try to find a Dealer with one on their lot. I checked Auto Trader and the closest one was at Taylor Ford, about 20 miles from your location. But you might be able to find one closer to you.

Well my dealer called and its already in only took a day wasnt able to pick it up yet. I broke down at work so had to work late will pick it up tomorrow and see how she looks. Thanks for the pics I dont think the spoiler will cover my burn mark so oh well still gonna put it on it looks so good should draw the attention away from the burn. I'll just have to get the burn repaired another time. Thanks for the offer on the templates RF, I'll throw you a pm once I pick it up and see what it comes with to see if I will need them. I'll charge up the digital camera and take some install pics in case anyone else goes the do it yourself route with the spoiler. I'll also take a pic of the burn to see if anyone has a suggestions about maybe fixing that myself thinking touch up paint with some touch up clear on top then a wet sand to level it back out not sure how good that would look though.

In case anyone is wondering, in my searching here I read that the dealers no longer do the painted ones but when I went to order this they said they could still get them not sure if this is just stock still left over or if they are still doing them. The only painted ones though are black and blue and then the standard primer.

It's in anyones best interest to buy the one in primer.

Paying extra for a painted ones is pointless.

By the time the end user(one of us) gets it home & out of the box ......

They are usually all mucked up anyway ... & you end up $pending the money to have it repainted anyway.

This has been discussed here before.

Save your hard earned money .....

Order it in primer & paint it after you get it.

Yes, it certainly does. Something I will be adding to mine at some point and doing the S55 taillight/backup light paint treatment at the same time. Mine as well since they have to mix the paint to paint the spoiler. And the shop that will do it has to do it to Mustang fixes all the time as the stock lights don't come painted like they did on the early SN95 Mustangs.
