The Kenny Brown #1x has been sold. The money is in the bank and she's waiting to be pickled...I mean picked up.

Terms of the sale were 25K cash, and the wire transfer cleared my bank this morning.

Her new home address is Honolulu, Hawaii, where she will be inducted into the Honolulu PD as a service vehicle with K-9 and SWAT responsibilities.

The windshield has to come out, and I think the custom graphics are coming off as well, but it will otherwise remain the #1x.

Y'all in Hawaii better watch out, Officer **** **** means business.

I'm toasting my 3.5 year relationship with the #1x as I type this, any of you who had the chance at driving the #1x know is will be a void hard to fill.

But fill it I will and starting the day the transporter takes the car.

See ya around, Girl, be safe. Take care of your new owner.

Glad for you Sarge----I remember when I got the chance to drive her in Alt---gave her a bit of gas to catch Todd (TAF) to the (his now) muffler shop--- and #1x went squirrly across the intersection--WOW!!! So Cool!

Hope those officers spend some time in "driver training"---sure would hate to see her get a bend in her---------heres to her:beer: as I write this as well....Tom

Congratulations on the sale Mac. Considering your profession it seems appropriate that the #1x should be going into honorable service as a police vehicle. I hope the assigned K-9 cop appreciates what a special car he is getting and treats it accordingly. :D

Congrats on the sale, and thanks for the test drive in FL. That helped push me over the edge, convincing me I just HAD to supercharge mine.

So what's the story on pulling the windshield out?

So what's the story on pulling the windshield out?The Kenny Brown logo across the top is a glass etching, not a decal. It was very cool too, because it would disappear when wet.

Mac, A great day but a bittersweet one too, I am sure. Onward and upward to bigger and better. Some day you will have to tell us the story of how she made it to the K corp on the island. Got to be interesting. I spent an inspirational weekend at the unmentionable but important to us MVIII-A admiring 1X and your willingness to share any and all with this newbie inspired me to start seriously working on the FruitPunch. thanks and I will start my own toast..to 1X and to you. thank you my friend for your generosity and your friendship. Fly on 1X to your noble endevors in Hawaii. Dennis:beer:

CONGRATS BUD!!!

I heard a rumor a while ago, and it did go through! Can't say I am glad though :( I have GAP insurance on mine, and have secretly been wanting an accident that would total it :D

Thanks for the test drive up at Barry's! It was a BLAST! Especially w/ that Meathead friend of your driving!!!!!

I don't know if that will make a good cop car though... it's kinda slow ;)

ROADWARRIORSVT is this board's resident Hawaii LEO, working here in Honolulu at the Wahaiwa substation...Tommy, you know anybody who was talking about gettin' their hands on a Marauder? You won't pry that out of me, but the wire transfer confirmed the Honolulu Police Credit Union as the agent. Guess y'all will just have to wait and see who shows up for duty in a Marauder, eh? Then pry his hood open?

Naw...Just stand back and listen. You'll know soon enough.
And what will you fill this void with Mac?Keep an eye open here Dave, the seeds of a fresh build are in house now.

I'll open a step-by-step thread in this forum when I start that project.

Not really giving anything away...there's about 1/2 dozen Marauders on duty with HPD, mostly black although I've seen one SB and one DTR. So when the ol' 1x comes outta the dark at somebody, they'll definitely be surprised...

Theres probably over 2 dozen Marauders in an on-duty status. With a force of almost 2,000 sworn officers, it would be safe to say 2 dozen MM are out there! :D Even with sooo many officers, if it was sold to a K-9 officer, that would narrow it dow to about 5 officers. One with the initials J.H., who used to have a S/Ced CV !!! I better stay away from the new Macs #1. It may very well lead me down that old "modified" road,...........again!!!

Goodbye OG, Godspeed.

The most fun I ever had in a car was the speed run to Jacksonville sharing time behind the wheel in the KB1x. If cars could write memoirs, that car would have an encyclopedic volume of stories.

C'mon Tommy,

My MM has just the basic mods. I know you will be upgrading your MM, like you done to yours stangs.:D i;ve been thinking about PI 3000 stall as my next mod. But not sure yet, still researching if would effect the daily driving we do. Well anyway it will be nice to see another MM at the station.

Just ask some of these gearheads,...they'll tell ya, its a great mod. Its not like YOU pay for gas anyways. I'm limiting my mods to things that won't affect driveabililty/reliability too!

I hope ypu're not meaning they are going to put a dog on the back the 1x. For a car as special as that to you, it would be a shame to have it trashed...Don't worry, DJ. There are special order kits to convert a CV/PI to a K-9 car that will fit the #1x just fine. If the new owner is so inclined, things should be just fine.

I'm more confused about how a premier GPS system works on the Islands, and how an 800 watt RMS stereo system will jibe with S.W.A.T. gear in the trunk. But, that's also not my problem...
