Should I be using a Cobra PCV?

Wondering...
I'm using more oil than I should be ( normal was a quart every 3k )
But I'm beyond that.
Everything else seems fine ( thanks, Shakes...) no leaks either.
The only thing I can think of right now is the valve.

and what valve would that be? Perhaps the valve guides which were defective on some heads in the 300As.....
