Hey guys...

My seal keeps coming loose (see pic). I can push it back up, but it eventually falls back down. Is this something I can fix with a quick sealant, or should I bring it to the dealer to be fixed under warranty?

Warranty. I would say the rubber moulding needs replacing??

If the car is under warrenty just bring it back and let them fix it. Thats what I'd do. Sound's easy to fix any way.

My guess the dealer just uses some weatherstrip cement or something.

Replacing that trim will require removing the rear window I think. Do you REALLY want them to do that?

Mine was like that when I got the car with 5600 miles on it. Actually left it like that assuming it was OK, just shoddy work. Then I decided I would try and push it back up one day and it went back up and looked even all the way across. It has come down just a tad one time, but I always run my hand underneath it when cleaning out the trunk trim and push it back in place (or make sure it is in place). Haven't had a problem since. And my car is a daily driver all year round here in Iowa that gets washed about once every 1-2 week depending on weather.

I would ask the dealer if I was you.

First mention of it here, keep, the dialogue flowing, eh? May be a long term wide spread problem, maybe not, but let's keep an eye on this?

I'm checking mine...

Mine has been doing this forever... I just push it back up.

I asked the dealer about it and they were happy to fix it but forgot to do it on that stop. I am just going to use a little rubber cement and tack it up once and for all.

I do not believe it serves any purpose other than cosmetic and I have never found any signs of leaking anywhere.

Mine did it too. No leaks. Dealer fixed it with some adhesive (I don't recall which). Frdwrnch actually. Maybe he'll see this and say.

Same thing here, I've pushed it up several times.
Kinda like the front seat cover, keep putting it back, comes loose.
I could probably get my Service Manager to fix it, maybe I'll ask tomorrow.
Wouldn't be a big deal to glue it back.

Mine is the same way, it seems like its only one side. Mine is the passenger side. What glue are you guys using to fix it?

I never noticed it before...but it looks like I got the same problem.

I have seen this problem on the FHP cruisers so many times I've
lost count - sagging bottom right. I figured that Ford had a
robot failure, little or no sealant to that area.
I've used either black RTV or the black windshield sealant
(available at your local FLAPS). Lay a bead in the strip from
the center to the right corner, block or tape it up and let it set up.

3M Weatherstrip Adhesive (in black). Also known as "Gorilla Snot". Mine's the same way! A little goes a long way.

There is also weatherstrip adhesive avaialble at your local APS. It's no harm no foul to use it as old stripping is dicarded and new is included if glass ever needs replacement.

Use the Gorilla snot if you are squeaminsh about a permanent fix.

Same problem here. Guy in my SVT club works at St.Thomas and told me this is a common complaint, same as the passenger headlight rubber molding. He told me to get it fixed under warranty. Until then I just keep pushing it up when I notice. BTW mine is one the passenger side. Other side doesn't move.
