This Thursday Night, 9-21-06, is the next to last FME exclusive night at Milan Dragway from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. It is always a great time without the hassle of junker cars or ricers. Expect to make as many runs as your heart desires since the turnout is usually around 30-40 cars running!
Hope to see you there...

I'm going to try to be there.
I want to find out if I gained anything from putting on the underdrive pulleys.:burnout:

I plan on going. Taking the Marauder to work and heading to Milan from there as soon as I get out. See you guys there.

I'll be there too. I'll drive the Marauder to work and then straight to the track afterwards.

Did anybody run any decent times at Milan last night? I took 0.02 sec off my best time, and added 1mph (attributable to the Underdrive Pulleys) ... but I was having a very hard time getting traction. Usually, I get quicker and quicker as the temperature drops. Last night, I got worse and worse.
What about that car count?! I saw one car next to me with "231" marked on it. If that keeps up, it'll be like Yogi Berra said: No wonder nobody comes here; it's too crowded!

Well being my first time ever, I ran a 15.53 at 84.76 on the first run down to a 15.34 at 91.61 on my fith and last run. On the traction issue I defer to the more experienced racers but it didn't seem all that great to me but I was on street tires.

I came close to a new personal best with an 11.56 @ 119. If I had been more confident coming out of the hole and hit a better 60ft, a new record was right there for me.
After the sun went down, traction became a big issue, so I only had one good run:(
Oh well, next time out I'm going to have my "post break in" tune ready to go and that should put me into new territory. I should have had it done months ago but have been sidetracked with family commitments the last 2 months.

I saw that from the grandstands, Mike. It was a pretty run!

It was a great time. My first time at the strip. Ran a 12.70 with the street tune. The race tune didn't help me improve cuz I smoked the tires. Looks like I need a few more tips from the Pros. Thanks guys for the help. It was a blast.

It was good to see you out there Tyrone. Glad you had fun. A little more seat time and you'll be in the loooow 12s...or better.
