Is there a common fuse on a 300A? The owners manual says no..

I believe that the clockspring is the culprit. If you have less than 50k, it will be covered under the airbag component warranty. Keep us posted.

Can you elaborate on the "clockspring"?

Thanks!

"Clockspring" is a nickname for the "Air bag sliding contact". It supplies power to the horn, cruise, and other switches on the steering wheel. It also powers the air bag. There is a clockspring within the device. It can break if the steering wheel can turn more times than normal one way like if the steering rack sererated from the intermediate shaft. We had somethinglike this happen on a Ford Ranger at the shop. However, in all actuality, the pinion broke inside the rack. Either way the steering wheel broke the spring inside from too many free turns, causing the air bag light to go off.

Hope this tutorial helps in any way.....

I believe that this one failed electrically. The one on the truck broke.

Well, it's fixed. The service advisor said that the horn was a "pin pushed out" and the cruise control was "a bad connection".
