OK guys, I didn't drive my MM out here to Chicago, but I had one meet me here at the airport in Chicago and it was driven by everyone's Marauder Poet Laureate.....Sarge!! He was in full uniform (that brought back some bad memories from high school, but that's for another thread all together.....).

So I was lucky enough to have dinner with Mac and Gary (Mad Man). Unfortunately, dinner went as fast as our cars. We had a great time and got to talk about a broader scale meet. Dinner with these guys confirmed it, we must have a big a** meet somewhere this fall.

After dinner I got to meet up with 'Poke and have a drink (OK, so I drink Diet Coke, what can I say?). We had a great time too.

How much better can this get? A great car and instant friends nationwide!

With any luck, my business will conclude early and Mac will take me to Route 66 before I go back to NY.

Mac and Gary, thanks for the shirts! 'Poke, thanks for the Coke and the pens! I owe you guys one, but you have to come to New York to collect.

Hope to see you guys again tomorrow.

Surely my pleasure too, Martin. Good company, delicious dinner, great friends, and neat pens.

Besides, I'm tired of donuts...LOL

East and MidWest will surely get face to face soon.

Just about a year ago, I thought to myself, "this is more than just a car." And I wasn't thinking of how a "car" was once called an "automobile."

Owning an MM is much more, and only an MM owner gets this.

But, I'm singing to the choir, eh?

What's this "Midwest" stuff? Don't you mean "Central" ? ;)

Well...No.

"Central" would indicate that there is an even split, kind of like a "fifty yard" line. OTOH, "MidWest" is less specific, and not indicating an even split in the center of America, at least not as it's shown on any of my maps.

Looking at my maps, there is much to behold to my right, and my left is...ummm...built sparingly?

It's like the difference between an analogue watch and a digital watch. Both tell time, but only one gives you the "ish" option.

For example, right now, it's 4:45 AM on my digital clock, but it's either 4:30ish, or 5ish on my analogue clock, and I get to choose.

Which ever time it really is, it's also time for me to get ready for work-ish. Whoops, ten to now, gotta run...
