Yeah... I think it may be...
Everytime I hit it hard now, the back end wants get "squirrely". Use to track straight on a burn out.
I'm still dropping the double line, but it sure is acting wierd... I'm thinking right, right?
glad I got that Eaton uniton the shelf,...

If you're leaving dual tracks, there's nothing wrong with the diff. I'd check the suspension and tire inflation before opening anything.

Mac is right...if you're leaving dual patches your diff is fine. As he said, check tire pressure and control arm integrity.

Ditto who ha!

If you consistantly leave these:

You don't need a diff. ;)

Keep it up Rich.
You'll get to use the Eaton soon enough.

You remember? I had to rely on "photo" graphic memory.   :D

Cracked or worn control arm bushings can allow the axle
to shift under power. It will, in effect steer the rear of the
car.As stated before take a close look at the suspension.

How come the tracks are so black?
Do you ride the brake pedal a bit to achieve this?

Just out of curiosity what rpm's are you guys holding it at when moving foreward? Then I leave the water pit I only get to about 3500 and in and out on the gas a lil to keep it there.

Anyone can do that Brad.
The burnout started in one place for some time. We'll call that ground zero. Using brakes, or (in my case) a line lock, keeps the car at ground zero. Thus the rooster tail of spent rubber behind the burnout ground zero area. After a few moments of this, the tires, particularly these BFG's, get really soft, and deeply warm. Once brake application is released, and the burnout continues forward out of GZ, assuming the driver is still gassing on it hard, the dark burnout continues well beyond ground zero. The road surface helps as well. New asphalt tends to disintegrate and ground zero actually digs deep into the roadway.

Yeah but what gear are you in?

I start out in 1st and let it shift thru to 3rd. And then I hold it there at about 38-4000 until I get bored...:P

It is :D I have a nice video of this burnout, but can not upload it to the site.

This burnout was as Cruztaker described. Put it in drive and let the tranny do the shifting. When you get the BFG's spinning at 100mph they smoke really good. Basically I was WOT in first, second and third. My car bogs in third however.

Here is a screen grab from the video.

The was about a forty foot high smoke cloud when I left:eek:

Thanks for turning your sig's mod list into links to the actual product. I don't know how long it's been this way, I just discovered it now. However long it's been here, thanks.

Though I haven't needed any of this 411 myself, I see it as a generous contribution to the site, and beneficial to expediting answer to potential questions. This took time to prepare, and I appreciate your dedication.

Resume normal BS, gents...
