All but one of my driver's side window switches are burnt out. They no longer light up at night time! Has anyone else had problems with interior lights shorting out? Just curious.

Is this going to cost me an arm and a leg Roy?

Is this going to cost me an arm and a leg Roy?I'd like to know that, too. My driver's window "up" button has never been lit. Since this seems to be a common failure, maybe we can get a group buy together... :D

Three Marauders, three master switch modules so far. I paid 68 bucks for the switches and installed them myself.
I think they fail because they catch a little rain in foul weather and do not appear to be weather resistant. That, or just shoddy workmanship, I am sure Ford doesn't make the switch.
Also have the intermitent flashing of the heated seat switch. Bough a new switch, haven't installed it yet.

your window switches are going to burn out ,seat heater switches are going to flicker and then burn out, and your door sill mouldings are going to bouble and the paint on dash trim is going to start peeling.. and you'll even get water in your fog lights I guess thats what warranty is for..

What Mac said. Mine's been out for quite a while now. Also have had the switches themselves stop working. Just unplugged and repluged them in. That cleans off enough corrosion to make them work again. Remember to disconnect your battery prior to this though or you'll blow some fuses. Ask me how I know. :o

Thanks, I'll make sure to dissconnect the battery first. BTW, what do I need to pop them out? Just a flathead screw driver? Also, what do I use to clean the ports? Just a paper towel or what?

"Made In Mexico".......STRIKES again!!!!:bandit: :argue:
Pull up on the front of the entire switch panel and pop it loose...pull forward as it has a rear tab. Unplug the switch module and work it from the switch plate with a small screw driver.......Reverse the process for the installation of the new switch module!!
Takes about 10 minutes the first time.....:D

Well I disconnected the wires and reconnected them. I also forgot to disconnect the battery but, no shorts, nothing. It was the same as before. Only one driver's side window switch lights up and it is the same one. I'll just get a new pannel in a month or two.
I just replaced my master switch today, cost me $53.60 got it at the LMD. Am not all that handy, so I took my time. :hmmm: I do have pictures if you want me to post them or send them to you so you can see where catches are. The hardest part was removing it, putting it back in was easy. :2thumbs:
Am going to try to take the old one apart to see if I can clean it up and recycle it when this one fouls up.
Now you tell me I should of disconnect the battery!

I picked up a switch for Steven at my workplace. I even installed it for him when the drawing was over with. It took less than 5 minutes to do and the new one fixed the problem.
