View Full Version : Sunk a little lower into the 11's at the track.

I was able to take advantage of the cool weather, barely broken in Nittos, 45 degree intercooler coolant temps (thanks to the cryocharger), and suspension mods to dip a little deeper in the 11's at Milan. I had some of my best 60 ft times of 1.72 and 1.69, which I am sure helped with the bottom line ET.
My worst of the night was 12.044 @ 112.89 mph.
My new best time was 11.844 @ 115.99 mph.
I don't see much more improvement there unless I do tall gears, a stall, and nitrous. I won't do the gears, butcher drivability with a huge stall, and dont have the built block for nitrous. So it appears that I need some more seat time to perfect launching with what I have.
You have to keep in mind that it is still pushing out 512 RWHP on a stock motor, making it the fastest Marauder with stock internals. One more chance with a FME night to drop deeper into the 11's. The car is an absolute rocket...

Congradulations; What a milestone. What do you think about going with alcohol injection and upping the boost a little bit as a substitute for gears and a high stall T/C...

It really isn't that much. It amounts to 0.085 seconds, not quite a tenth, but 8 hundreths of a second. I think it lends itself to the fact that once you get down into the 11's with this car, you have to fight and claw for hundreths of a second at the track. I am done with mods on the Marauder, it just isnt worth the money to gain a tenth. I am proud of what I took my time building up. Had a great start being the first with the Trilogy setup, and with Lidio's wizardry we built one hell of an **** thumping Marauder. I am not ashamed to call it quits with it. I always envisioned the Marauder more of a street brawler than a 1/4 mile queen. It is time to concentrate on the Mustangs in my stable. I can produce far more with far less effort with the lighter more aggressive Mustangs.

Good times.
I have a 3,500 stall and the driveability is fine. Hardly notice it is there.
Several have driven it and none have noticed any driveability problems.

Great run Dave. I will try to make the next one to see how my car does on my fresh Nittos and cooler weather.

Having driven JD's Procharged MM with a stall I can say that the stall was not bad at all. His car drove really nice.

Nice runs there Dave
I was there to see it happen. It was a nice run.
Considering you have a stock motor and one power adder, I think you've really accomplished a heck of thing. Congrats!

Zack had a Vortech on his car when he ran 11.6 and is now working on a Kenny Bell. Marty has the fastest MM with a Procharger that turned 10.63.

Dave, way to tear the track up. Very impressive run. Congrats on having the fastest Marauder with a stock motor!

Thanks Greg, its kind of you to say so..
Like I said above, it was probably the most fun I have had with a car. It has been a great ride and I am very satisfied. I have a new block for a stroker motor, but I am really hoping what I have lasts for a while.
