Whooo! This is the ****nits! I went shopping at Big Al's Toy Box last week and picked up the remaining parts for the blower. I splurged and went for the ultra shiny belt guard too. I think it was worth it, eh?

All I need now is the belt, the fan, throttle linkage and to finish tightening everything down.
This weekend may be pushing it, but I gotta get this done!

Yeah, I'm going to take some measurments on this one and start cutting a second hood this week. I've decided that if Foose can do it with a cutoff wheel, so can I... Once anyway... LOL
Unfortunately, this will not be finished in time for the big "Cruise to the Woods" this coming weekend. And I so wanted it ready for this too.

Tape your line. Get an oversized wheel, (6"?) so there's room for your hands around the tool as you cut. Go slow to avoid heat warp. Cut the top so the supports hold the slug. Turn it over and cut the supports last. Grind all your edges clean and get some etching primer on it quick. If the supports on your new hood are glued, not welded, wear a mask. The smoke from the glue you'll be cutting through will make you sick (or at least give you a headache). You may want to add a second set of struts or consider a 4 pin setup. The hood will have a massive weak spot and could fold or buckle when closing it after the hole is cut.
Everone wants to SEE it done. I want to HEAR it. Blower whine is cool.

The reason no one asked the price is cause no one else could afford it.
Sure is pretty though. It's a shame you have to cover part of that work of
art up. Oh well.:(

FYI, the price tag for this upgrade is STILL less than a Trilogy kit...
But thanks for the complements everyone. I'l be sure to make a video of the first key turn when I get it done.
Cheers!
