Yeah, I've seen that before.

My Marauder has full coverage - comp., collision, towing, uninsured/underinsured motorist, etc. - and I pay $48 a month. (I pay annually, but the rate would be the same + a $3 service fee if I paid monthly.)

I have it insured through AAA Texas. Yes, that's the same AAA that does the roadside assistance and travel planning. They offer excellent automotive rates if you're in the market for car insurance. I wasn't - I had State Farm for 18 years - but when State Farm refused to write homeowner's policies in Texas, I started shopping around to consolidate my home and auto policies. I was surprised to learn that AAA offers home, auto, and life insurance policies. They have excellent coverage and very reasonable rates. Plus, they write their own policies rather than farm them out to other underwriters, which was a big thing in my book.

Check them out sometime.

I've had the same insurance/agent (Nationwide) since I started driving 8 years ago. My parents have all their home owners/auto insurance stuff threw him to. Great guy too, he actually drove me to MVA/DMV to take my licesene and signed me up for advance driving classes. I pay $483 every six months for my MM with full coverage.

Your age has alot to do with it also.

Try taking some defensive driving classes. That may help.

I am 25 which is supposed to qualify for a discount. I pay $150.00 something per month and I have never been involved in a single accident or received any speeding tickets.

knock on wood.

How about location. That matters also.

I may try that sir, it's just so rediculous... I've been driving since I was 11, and driving race cars since I was 14... never had an accident of a claim other than a lady hitting my car when it was parked. Yet they don't ever really take your personal circumstance into effect... I get a $100 good driver discont... WTF mate

I got a quote last week since I'm shopping for Marauders in the next few months. State Farm told me $140 a month. I'm going to call AAA tomorrow. We pay $204 a month for our 2002 Explorer XLT, 97 Mustang GT conv., and a life insurance policy on my wife. I think I'm getting screwed.

I am shopping for one in the next few months as well. I thought I'd say that the marauder under full coverage is about 80$+ less PER MONTH! than a 96 740iL. Definitely something to consider for me.

About 90 a month with State Farm. Was about nine bucks a month increase to move from 2001 CVLX to 2003 MM. 2 cars and house with SF, no one under 40 driving.

I'm with State Farm in Louisiana and I pay $97 per month with a multicar discount and also have home owners and life insurance with them. It was $90 in Dec 05.

Thier was some discussion eariler, that the insurance companies did not differientiate between, the Marquis and Marauder.
This may have been for 2003, by now I think they have caught on to us.
The 10% increased Vehicle safety discount, may be because Traction control, Antilock brakes, and side air bags are standard on 2004's.

They were on to the Marauder/GM difference with me on day one. I'm around $1500 a year for four cars, collision on all. Good deal to me because knowing what I know, I wouldn't insure me.

Yeah, my insurance card clearly states "Marauder" as the model. The words "Grand Marquis" are nowhere to be found.

Still, at $48/month for full coverage (and high liability levels) I'm not complaining a bit. :)

This is what kills me. Some pay $48.00 (happy for you HONEST) and others (like me) pay more than 4 times that.
