KillJoy, it depends on how you look at it. Looking head on at my car, it's blue, but when it hits objects, depending on the color, weather, things of that sort, it will either be BRIGHT, BRIGHT white, or very bright blue. Either way, you can see anything that's in front of you. blkwidowmerc, to me, I think the HIDs are one of the best things I've done to my car. It gives it a great look, everyone asks where I got them from, and I think the 8000k color is just right, anything higher is wayyy tooooo bright, and lower than 8000k, what's the point of HIDs then? Unless you have them as driving lights, then I'd do a little lower than 8000k. And when people tell me that HIDs don't illuminate as well on wet pavements is a false statement to me. I can see anything and everything with my lights. My next purchase may be HID fogs too, haven't decided yet. FYI, that kit was $210 shipped to my door, and they were for my '95 Vic, so all I had to do was buy new bulbs ($70 shipped). Installment took me and my dad about 2 hours to hide the ballasts best we could and re-seal the headlight assemb. (some customizing required)

Since no Vendors here sell HID's (at least to MY knowledge), why not post up your source?

I gather from this quote that it is not really a plug-n-play kit? It sounds like the "baking" method that you needed to do to open up the headlight assemblies.

The camera's rendering of image (color) has to do with the color temperature setting used by the camera's cmos chip. He could have forced that image to appear yellow.

Taking pictures of light is not point and shoot. Some variables must be taken into consideration, and of course, low end 'pocket' digitals can't correct this.

His HID's likely appear as most, as a very hot white, approaching blue if looked at from the right angle, and of course, the subject that is being illuminated by the light source.

Sorry to hijack...and back to the point...

Please do explain what you used, and how involved the transition was to do.
I can only assume new wiring harness' and relays were involved.

Man, a lot happened while I was at work lol. Alright I'm going to try and answer the questions in order. Unfortunately, I can't find the company who makes my kit off eBay, however, they have their own website: http://www.sanhuahid.com/eindex11.asp I'm from Franklin. Technically, it is a plug and play kit, just not for fitment. I mean, with any HID kit you buy though, you will have to "customize" on putting in the ballasts, and figuring out on how to get the wires inside the lights. Not sure if you have seen an HID bulb before, but there are two wires coming off the bulb that connect to the ballast, alas where it gets the high intensity power from. So, I took the cover that seals the back of the assem., it was actually perfect since my bulbs, had a rubber grommit on them, so I hollowed out a hole small enough to get my wires for the bulb through, and I simply put the grommit through and it made a perfect seal. I then put electrical tape around the seal cover just to asure myself that it was ok. I will try to get a few pictures of that and where I put the ballasts. You are wrong too about the color of my bulbs, they are BLUE, BRIGHT blue at that. My friends camera takes better night pictures and I will get some with his. And also, I forgot. One of the vendors on CV.net has a TRUE bolt-on HID system for the 98+ Panther's. Here is a picture of them installed on a member's car: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k311/DriveHeSaid/Sport/sigpiccvn2.jpg

As you can see, it is a projector style type, and is a VERY, expensive kit. I believe it's $999.99. On a side note though, it claims it can't for the Grand Marquis, only for the CV but I'm sure you could get them to fit with a little finesse. http://www.adtr.net/shop.php?page=access and they're the first thing on that page.
