The North East Marauders had our Private track meet and we were very happy to have Sal (POWER SURGE) bring along his 5.4 powered Crown vic.

Heres a quick burnout video...

Streetfire was a bit slow on uploading the clips. They should all work now

Nice blast from the not too distant past!
A real shame that car is sold and off of Long Island - I will miss seeing it!

I'm told the two nearest tracks (1-NHRA, 1-IHRA) require a 6 point cage for cars under 12 seconds, so I can't see what it will do with the current "de-tuned" (16 psi-3 3/4" pully) state.

Sal installed SLP Mustang headers before he sold it to me, but stay tuned! Current planning includes a NASCAR style 9" full-floater rear axle with gearing for Bonneville, and whatever cage/equiptment is required for joining the 200 mph club. I'm really scared of the 28 spline tooth-picks it (amazingly) still gets around with.

I agree with your choise on the 9" rear for Mad Max and like the idea of running on the salt. That's a dream of mine!
Let me know if you ahve any questions about dropping the ride height - the 2000 model is different from my '03 but I have lowered mine considerably and would give you any pointers I might be able to provide.
If you are going to get it on the salt - give me some early warning so I can try and meet you there!

This is going to be a 2 or 3 year project, minimum.

That's good - gives me enough time to plan it out.
If you need a volunteer crew member - I'm in!
