It's you hood, most likely. Try squirting some white grease down into the latch mechanism, then adjust the rubber bumpers on each side so that the hood is tight when it's closed. What you are hearing is the metal latch scraping when the hood moves slightly over bumps or when you slam the door. You may even be able to make the chirp sound by rocking the car.
One warning, though... don't make the hood too tight to close or it won't pop open when you use the inside hood release.

The bumpers are known to vibrate out of adjustment and result in the noise you express. They need to have some sort of lock nut added to prevent this.
I used wing nuts, for ease of adjustment on the fly.

The hood bumpers were the culprit on my Marauder too. The Lincoln - Mercury dealers are well familiar with it. The Grand Marquis has the same problem.

Mine too....the hood bumpers were adjusted and the latcher and bumpers were greased. No more squeek!!

I had the same problem. Did all the previously mentioned fixes, but squeak returned after some time. Finally looked into an alternative, side hood isolation bumbers that fit into the slots on either side, and are standard on Lincoln Towncar. Part Number 3W1Z-16758-BA (one each, bumper). There is a thread on here called "finally stopped my hood squeak", and there is information on there about the hood isolation bumpers, along with photos, etc. My post is on page 5. I have not heard one squeak since I did this mod. Good luck.:D

I didn't have a squeak until I put the isolators in. Now I do have a squeak. :D

Should you find the Hood isolators/bumpers do not solve the issue; an un-greased hoodlatch is a common and often overlooked cause of you condition.

I put round felt stickers (used for bottoms of chair legs) on my hood bumpers as well as adjusting bumpers and lubing latch. That combo worked for me.
